    Yo I appreciate the knowledge you provide in this videos keep it up 👌🏾 you seem to know a lot about this stuff so could you please break down the difference of a high quality heavy weight hoodie and a low quality hoodie with high GSM with the hoodies having the same cuts as a control factor 🙏🏾 much appreciated

      Hey thanks for watching! I may be misunderstanding your question but to me there’s a few different factors when it comes to quality. Weight is subjective because not everyone wants a super heavy hoodie. But I base it on the construction/seams, the feel of the material, and overall durability based on the care instructions

    What if my design is not ordinary and simply drawing and added references for the design won’t suffice. Do you recommend I try my best to make the sew it myself then send that as the reference or are these manufacturers really skilled when it comes to turning tec packs into reality

      @nicholasakoto  5 місяців тому +1

      If you have the ability to make a rough sample then I’d always suggest doing that. If not, you may need to sitdown in person with a seamstress so you can better explain to them the details.
      But it’s definitely possible to to make a complicated techpack. It just may take more time and details to really communicate what you want

    If you have a specific fabric you want a garment made out of, would you have to send that fabric to both manufacturers that are doing your prototype?

    • @nicholasakoto
      @nicholasakoto  Рік тому +1

      If you have the fabric then you can send it or you can have them source your same fabric local to them. If they can’t find it then you would for sure have to send the fabric yourself 👍🏽

    thanks for the info. is alibaba and instagram the only places you've used for manus? could you also give examples of brands you know that use alibaba? id like to see the type of work that alibaba can produce.

    • @nicholasakoto
      @nicholasakoto  Рік тому

      Alibaba and Instagram are just platforms for manufacturers and many of them are listed on both as well as other platforms. Pretty much any overseas manufacturer is going to be on alibaba because they know it’s a lot potential clients. Most mid level brands you’ve ever seen on IG are using a manufacturer that can be found on alibaba.

      @@nicholasakoto some of my products compared to a lot of these smaller brands are complex. you think alibaba is the place for that? i’ve only had negative experiences on there so i’m skeptical to put trust in them even if their catalog pages look so good.
