I remember you saying he is worth keeping for the year atleast. He’s definitely had his uses this season so far and I was impressed with how he did at rb yesterday considering it’s not his position.

I'm not at all a fan of Jorghino or Zinchenko, but given the situation, I was surprised neither of them was played in the last 20 miniutes when Timber came off. Zinchenko was not "fit" I suppose; but I expect Jorghino to have come in, and Rice to become an ad-hoc replacement for Timber. This is what Jorghino is all about, to protect our 2-1 lead, and with luck even make it 3-1! Why give him a new contract if not used here? (I saw the combination Kivior+Skelly very clumsy when losing the last goal 2-2; together they were not able to block Salah's fatal pass.)
Ppl are harsh on Kiwior. He needs minutes and Arteta need to get the best out of him, he is not to be used the same way as Gabriel. Out backup are not as well drilled as citys. Arteta needs to manage the whole squad and make sure everyone has convidence and the believe.

He made a shocker of a decision to try to stop the ball midair instead of letting it get to Nunez and closing him down, then instead of taking a chance and intercepting the cross into Salah, he goes to cover Salah and doesn’t get the ball anyways. He is a fine player but the drop off from Big Gabi to Kiwi is pretty massive. So no, no scapegoating but criticism warranted.

I do not get the player loyalty of the Arsenal fanbase we love to blame the players we have decided are not good enough and who we do not like and on the flip side protect those we want to like. Kiwior has not done well for us but lets be fair he has not really had a chance to do well he has barely played at CB and when he does it is in a heavily rotated team and off the back of not playing for months. I dont think any of us think he is good enough to be a starter for us but he hasnt had the chance to show if he is good enough to be a squad player. However yesterday had nothing to do with him and in fact I thought he did well when he came on. The goal happened because of Lewis Skelly but being an academy player who has looked good in pre seaosn we are simply not allowed to be hoinest and blame him when a player we have written off is next to him. Skelly made an error in getting back a bit slow and then taking a few seconds to hesitate between pressing Trent and dropping back in. In doing this he does neither and because of that Kiwior has no choice but to come across into an area he should not have been covering. Kiwior had no choice but to cover Skelly but if the pass is good which it was he has no chance of getting the ball. This then resulted in Ben White having to come over and thats what left the space for Salah to move into. All Skelly had to do was get back in line with the other back 4 and had he done that he simply gets to the ball first and plays it back to Raya. If we are assessing the goal from a defensive standpoint then the error was in the 2 seconds before Trent makes the pass and it is by Skelly.
I don't get the player loyalty of the online Arsenal fans either, especially the ones who one week demand that some 'should never wear the shirt again' then after yet another horror show moan that they haven't had the chance to lose us more points. Strange...
