One of my favorite eps. Love the implications of the ending. It's funny though, with Richard Basehart, I keep thinking he's Admiral Nelson on Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, and expect them to be saved by the Seaview. Antoinette Bower was a great character actress, and of course very attractive, but I had a tendency to get her confused with Elizabeth Montgomery also of a great TZ episode and Bewitched.
The one thing about the end, according to historians, no one knows who was the first person to call the planet "Earth". The name earth was around and referred to soil only. Maybe it was Eve?
I am interested in hearing your thoughts on the ending. You should just give a spoiler alert then let fly. Most of us have already seen the episode and know the ending anyway.
It sounds like something that COULD be possible, we don't know who actually named Earth, "Earth"..Its a term that only referred to soil as far as we know.
I like this episode but I wonder which came first this one or the one with Charles Bronson and Elizabeth Montgomery which had a very similar plot.
They are very much the same.
"Two"
@@silvereagle2061 ...I have a review of it here as well.
