- Welcome to Fiji!
Our first morning on the Viti Levu island put some things into perspective. It was hot, it was humid, and everyone was saying Bula!, which made us realize we had really left New Zealand.
For breakfast, we decided on some Muesli and milk, which also tasted different. I guess we were experiencing our first culture shock in 2 years.
But, honestly, it wasn’t bad. Far from it. We were in a tropical paradise, surrounded by turquoise waters, jungle-like vegetation, and super friendly people.
Before lunch, we visited the local market accompanied by the lovely Home Exchange caretaker, Punam. We got some fresh produce and then headed towards the store to get the rest of the ingredients we needed for the lunch Punam was going to prepare for us.
Punam, who is of Indian descent, taught us how to cook a very delicious curry and traditional roti (Indian flatbread). Fijians really take hospitality to the next level!
You know, we always like to learn at least a few words in the native language of the country we are visiting. That’s why we partnered up with Lingopie - a unique platform with a revolutionary approach to how we learn languages.
For those of you interested in learning a new language in a fun, new way, follow this link 👉 growingupwithoutborders.com/l... and get 65% OFF Lingopie!
Back to our day, which was far from over, and it was now time to dip our toes in the warm Pacific Ocean waters and soak up the sun.
After we freshened up, we continued our tour along the coast and stopped at a local store to do a little souvenir shopping.
Day 3 started early for us because we had to get ready to visit a local village and the famous Biausevu Waterfall. There were a few options on how to reach the waterfall, but we decided to walk with a guide since it was only 2km.
Just walking there was so exciting. Imagine meeting foreigners in the middle of the jungle on a super hot day! So worth it, especially because the sight was amazing. We took a swim, and the girls even jumped off of the waterfall.
Back in the village, we got some jewelry and souvenirs handmade by the locals and continued on to our next adventure.
We wanted to try kayaking, and thanks to Avis Car Rentals, we were in the water in no time. If you ever come to Fiji, we highly suggest you rent a car at Avis. This is where you can find them 👉 www.avis.com/en/locations/fj.
Tired but very happy, we returned to our Home Exchange to do some school work at the Crimson Global Academy. To find out more about the CGA program, follow this link 👉growingupwithoutborders.com/CGA

Ladies, Congratulations to you guys for this remarkable video on a great trip in Fiji September of 2022.I wish you guys ALL the BEST in September of 2022!
Lots of love from india
Ladies, I really enjoyed this remarkable video that you guys released from Fiji this September of 2022.I really LOVE the "Water Falls & Market" you guys visited in this great video in September of 2022!
Fiji is way different from New Zealand😂😂😂😂....It's funny that they said that Fiji is really under-developed but considering the fact that we're are the most developed in the south pacific excluding Australia and New Zealand....I hope you enjoyed your stay💙💞
Wow! It’s going to be interesting to see the other islands too.
Ladies, Congratulations to you guys on a remarkable trip now in Fiji to released this video from Fiji.I really LOVE your video so much in joy 2022!
Kia ora guys cool video, they say if you've seen one island paradise you've seen them all not sure how true that is but Fiji out of all the Pacific Islands is pretty much up there I must say, nice video of Fiji guys take care much love whakatane👍
I'm not sure they're all the same. I'd have to say they're probably all different and unique in their own way. I hope all is well in Whakatane!
Hi Chantal, Angelique, Julia, Chloe, and Tyler!!! "Wow the water is sooo beautiful!!! Have fun on your Fiji Adventure!!! 💯😊
Sorry I missed the premiere - it was our Heritage Open Day at Portland Works today. It was nice to see more of Angelique in the video.
looks like u guys had a fun day exploring around Fiji. Not surprising to see lot of fishing in fiji haha damn that language translator looks so cool. i enjoy watching movies in their native language too but they don't always have the subtitles which isn't ideal sometimes.
I love the theme tune for these Asian Vlogs.
Wow excellent 👏 Fiji island 🏝 👏
Yah it’s very nice👌🏻☺️

Hey Thom! Thanks so much for the encouragement! It was really nice meeting you and glad we crossed paths. 🙌
Aw missed it but it looks amazing 👍
We have a few more coming out soon. See you on the next one.
Lots of love from india, please take care all of you guys
Thanks so much!
Nice video. Please keep me informed on when you will be coming to my country.
Fiji is not a third world country.. It is more like a second world country.. Not a lot of poverty in Fiji.. and 31 is not that hot.. The humidity probably makes it feel hotter and you guys spending winter in New Zealand has probably made you more adjusted to the cold.. Give yourselves a week or two and you will be more acclimatized to the warmth.. Then it will be more normal to you.. Yes Fiji is a beautiful country..
You’re right about the heat. It was more of a shock after being in NZ. Now that we’ve been through countries in Asia, 31 wouldn’t seem that hot.
Fiji lindo destino para ir a turistear saludos family 🏝🏖🙇♂️
Hola Ezequiel. Si es un destino muy popular para los turistas.
Hi Fams hope all is good much love from Rotorua.
Awesome! We miss our dear Rotorua! 💕
Hi guys good to see you all.from uk.
Thanks Wesley!
Hi
I was looking for more videos of your India trip. Are there no videos posted of your Taj Mahal and Jaipur trip?
They're coming out real soon. We will be posting our trip to Phuket and then we'll start posting our series from India.
Girls are growing up..they will continue the channel very well ..as far as i know there few sri lankans working in fiji
They sure are. That’s quite possible that there are Sri Lankan’s working there. There are so many resorts and many islands that would need the help I’m sure.
Wow you’re learning Russian? That’s amazing! I’ve heard it’s a very difficult language!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Muy lindo, Bula Bula🥀
Muchos Gracias ❤
Bonjour c'est rachida de carrefour ravi d'avoir fait votre connaissance 😉😊
Super Rachida! Merci pour le petit message. 🙏🏻💕
Humanity,breath.
Bula. Upon watching this I realised that you bought ginger from the market for $6. I believe that market vendor did you wrong. It's suppose to be $2 or $3 at the most. Please be careful not to be scammed. Vinaka and stay safe
I'm not sure...I don't think it was that much. I'd have to re-watch the video again to check. :)
Being an island in the south pacific i did not expect the humidity was so high. I mean you expect malaysia to be hot because it is tropical.
Yeah we were surprised with how hot and humid it was too but we're now used to if after visiting so many hot countries again.
"All of y'all swim excellent like fish 🐠🐟!!!".
That little girl is so big now
Yeah she’s all grown up!
$25 per adult for the waterfall ? And $5 a coconut ? That's daylight robbery.
It was expensive for the hike. I thought so too but it’s supporting their local community. Or least you hope it is.
@@GrowingUpWithoutBorders yea I'm Fijian and from my perspective as a local . that's too much. Anyway HAPPY TRAVELS !!!
Your videos are very informative and I liked your Enjoyment tour video in Fiji.I felt Fiji is more beautiful and comfortable place compared to Thailand.Make more videos because it's part of History and Geography studies with Practical experience🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🎓📖📑🎓🎓🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸♥️
I would actually have to say that Thailand has way more accessibility to products and services compared to Fiji simply because it's so remote and the their population is so much smaller. You'll see more in our next video to give you a good feel for it.
@@GrowingUpWithoutBorders Thank you very much for your reply and it's very much useful for me and for everyone
