I made this and it worked so well, my skin even had a glow afterwards. I was truly amazed! I also added raspberry oil and carrot seed oil. Thanks for the recipe.
This recipe definitely works and I've tried it! I live in a hot Mediterranean climate with 35+degrees temperature and we didn't get a sunburn! My fiance is Irish and his skin is much more sensitive to the sun than mine and he didn't get sunburnt with this recipe! People saying that this recipe doesn't work are either lying or didn't buy a quality zinc ingredient. The only thing I would suggest that would be helpful to viewers is that for cleaning up the equipment I recommend using paper towels to clean up the grease from the utensils and bowls because hot water just didn't wash away the cream from the items and was so difficult to remove...but wiping it away as much as possible with papers towels helped ALOT. Thank you for this recipe and I appreciate your channels so much!
Great info!!! My grandson had leukemia and his pediatric oncologist warned us to NEVER put sunscreen on him or ourselves. She said sunscreens are so toxic and actually cause skin cancer and other cancers as well!
I had awesome success trying this on my very fair skinned son. Shared it on my fb so hopefully you will see a few extra followers! Thanks for your channel, I’m learning a lot!
Thanks for the tutorial! I definitely need to try this since it's impossible for me to find a sunscreen that doesn't give me a headache or flare up my asthma.

Increase the beeswax amount or sub more tallow for one of the liquid oils - tallow stays solid at higher temps and beeswax will give it more stickiness without becoming crumbly.
I love sheabutter and it has great skin care qualities and SPF too. Can I substitute sheabutter for the cocoa butter in your recipe? Great job, kudos for sharing your knowledge on natural remedies!
Hello, Thanks for sharing your method and links to the ingredients. I made the sunscreen and it has too much white colour and doesn't rub in. Do you have any suggestions on how to create the sunblock without the white component? Thank you, Kristina Camaj
my 1st test was zinc oxide and some regular hand lotion works but it does not last while in water. I trying your recipe next, thanks. and free e-book, thanks.!
Hey there! Thanks for this amazing video. Can't wait to make my own. I have acne prone skin so I was just wondering if I could use rosehip oil instead of coconut or olive oil as I can see that breaking me out x
That's a good idea, those would add some nice antioxidants. Technically, though, it doesn't contain water so preservation isn't as much of a concern. But it wouldn't hurt!
Do you add Zinc Oxide in before adding the heat? I watched so many DIY video, most of them add Zinc Oxide right at the end when the oil and beeswax are not as hot. So do you think overheating won't change the element in Zinc oxide?
I don't think it changes the elements, but adding it last after the oils have cooled some would help it stay suspended and not settle to the bottom as it cools :)
Zinc oxide is produced when molten zinc gets too hot and combines with oxygen - the heat used to make this is nowhere near that temp and would have zero effect on it.
Hello. I was wondering about how much spf protection this would have? I know you mentioned it’s hard to say with homemade proof it’s and the oils had about 30spf.

Very easy to work out. 5 items of equal size. So 100% ÷5 gives you 20% of each ingredient 😊

zinc oxide has the melting point over 1600°C, there won't be any elemental changes, atleast I guess.
