Deep in the heart of Jakarta's slums lies an impenetrable safe house for the world's most dangerous killers and gangsters. Until now, the run-down apartment block has been considered untouchable to even the bravest of police. Cloaked under the cover of pre-dawn darkness and silence, an elite swat team is tasked with raiding the safe house in order to take down the notorious drug lord that runs it. But when a chance encounter with a spotter blows their cover and news of their assault reaches the drug lord, the building's lights are cut and all the exits blocked. Stranded on the sixth floor with no way out, the unit must fight their way through the city's worst to survive their mission. Starring Indonesian martial arts sensation Iko Uwais.

I like how even Rama is terrified in that situation because the enemis. It really shows that he's not overpowered hero or something, but just single one cop unit. (Yet even Rama beaten the many enemies on his ways).
Well, in sake for movie plot he seems to have infinity or very fast regenerating stamina since he can have a long bloody battle against outnumbering amount of enemies and nd in a minutes enter another fight fighting like he didn't got even a little exhausted. And yet Rama is not the strongest in raid universe, he has his limit's and there are people who can defeat him and yet he is still one man army.
That's also to raise the sense of uneasiness to the viewers, since this movie is a hybrid of action and thriller
In my opinion this is the best action movie of all time so far... great coreography, great story, great shots, great actings, and The Raid pioneered the style of action movie like this. So fast, no hesitation, ruthless, just wow. Even watching people react to this is interesting
This film doesn't cost a lot of money but can make a good film
No doubt this is a top tier action movie

When the atmosphere is dark & cold instead of warm & colorful. Action is top notch & isn't afraid to get bloody. No stupid jokes & all serious. You know you have a Masterpiece.

Nowhere near real fighting just choreographed dancing. The hallway fight in daredevil looks much more realistic.
