Way to go Mandy. I would also challenge you to take your saved grocery money and put it in a vacation fund. I also do this for my cleaning supply’s, beauty supplies, lotions etc. at the beginning of the year. I use up all the odds and ends before I buy more. It saves $ and declutters at the same time. ❤

I began doing that right after my son was born, along with dumping out most of my change at the week's end. When he was 6, we flew to Disney World for his birthday on what I saved. Only had to add about $300.00 and stayed 5 days.

That part lasagna, jar of sauce and jar of mushrooms makes me think of a lasagna soup. Assuming you have stock or bouillon, or water and spices.
The taco shells, mexican rice, nacho cheese, green chilis and pinto beans could be a veg taco too.
You probably could have added the end of the basmati in with your yummy rice a roni dish.

This is a great idea! I always have whole canned tomatoes on hand and can always make a quick spaghetti sauce. It’s a delicious, inexpensive dinner that I can make at a moments notice… if friends drop in.
Maybe you could do a video on using pantry items for company meals at a moment me notice.

I am my most creative when I cook from my pantry. May I make a suggestion? Don't drain your canned chicken. The broth from your canned chicken adds flavor. This dish looks good!

Looking at your items I was thinking of a Mexican style lasagna with noodles, tomatoes and beans. Would need cheese added though.
I had a scrounge up meal this morning of microwave sweet potatoes and some popcorn chicken in the air fryer. I spent all day yesterday sitting in ER with my mom, eating some junk snacks. So my breakfast wasn't ideal but it was better than another pack of crackers or donuts 😂

I think it definitely would have made more if you had added some long grain rice, because it was way too soupy for my taste. Plus if you have a family of four with growing children and a man in the house they will eat more than what was used in this dish. My son can eat a whole box of the rice a roni by himself. If you had used some kind of crackers or just bread crumbs ( 1 piece of bread will yield 1/2 cup of bread crumbs). Also, the cream of mushroom soup with garlic is wonderful in casseroles! It adds so much more flavor than regular cream of mushroom soup. If you are too tired to cook during the week use your crockpot. A tortilla soup with the canned chicken, chicken broth, onion, garlic, chopped green chilies, can of corn, can of black beans( or whatever you have/ or dried beans soaked overnight), can of rotel or other tomatoes, chopped bell pepper ( optional), use bouillon if no chicken broth with some water. If no rotel, add in some type of spicy pepper( jalapeños), seasonings of chili powder, garlic powder, cumin and cilantro fresh or dried. Place all in crockpot cover and morning of work take out 30-45 minutes before going to work…then put on to cook all day on low. Use taco shells toasted in oven to break up to top individual servings along with avocado, sour cream, shredded cheese and squeezed lime wedge & little more cilantro if you have any of these. You can also use the Spanish rice to stuff bell peppers with it( save some of the corn and black beans from making soup to toss in the Spanish rice…even corn and a few peas are good in it). Cut bell peppers from stem down to turn 2 bell peppers into 4 servings. Rope with either shredded cheese or a slice of quarter piece of bacon to give it even more flavor instead of the cheese. Serve the mixed vegetables on the side with a piece of cornbread from jiffy mix.use the AuGratin potatoes to turn into cheesy potato soup, or make chicken chow Mein and serve it over egg noodles that are boiled, drained on paper towels and fried in oil and drained a gain on paper towels. I like serving mine over cooked plain rice and use the fried noodles as a crunchy topping…will taste great either way.

Disclaimer: My personal apologies to anyone that I may have offended for anything I might have suggested in this post. All you whiners just shut up.
There you go, Mandy. Read and delete if you wish. It'll be like Mission Impossible, only instead of blowing up it will turn into a nice set of living room curtains. Read on girl! Be fearless!
Amazing, Mandy! I love how you think outside of the box! Pun intended!
This was a great idea. I kept thinking that a local soup kitchen would benefit greatly from someone like you! Imagine what sort of yummy meals you could whip up for poor, hungry, homeless people from donations of random food! I know that you don't have the time for that, but any viewers out there who have a talent like Mandy's and the time to share might want to check that out. I find this stuff to be genius!
In times like these it's imperative we all do this to help save money and cut down on waste.
Mandy, you need to write a cookbook! No kidding. How to survive on *** dollars a day by Mandy! Maybe even an ebook. You have possibilities here girl. Maybe a new channel? Mandy's random food meals! Well, you might think about that. Viewers will suggest a better name, or billions of them! Oh, the ideas!
Anyway, you get the idea. It's a thought.
That guy you used to know, ah what's his name? Boy, he lost a precious gem in you. You'd be a great catch for anyone. You're cute, adorable, bright, witty, strong, intelligent, creative and kind. A good-hearted soul.
    You deserve it all!
I'm sure there are many other areas you excell at too. Maybe organizing, cleaning, decorating, etc. You like teaching? Lots of people need/want to learn things.
Well, think about it Seriously. Pour yourself a glass of wine, or beverage of choice (don't we all think better when we're a little high, drunk, tipsy?) Okay haters, I'm just having a little fun here and not pushing alcohol on anyone! Forget that Mandy, have a glass of V8 instead.
Well, anyway, there's a lot of possibilities out there. You're capable of anything you want to do. A little extra money wouldn't hurt. Like revenge body, revenge bank account wouldn't be a bad thing. Relax, have some ideas. Random thoughts. Phantom lovers. Sorry. 😳
Okay, that'll be about enough of me for awhile.
I hope your day is filled with peace, happiness, love and joy. 💕💕💕

@@allthingsmandy Thank you, Mandy. If anything I've said or suggested inspires you, then I've been successful in the moment. I seriously believe you could help people with the cookbook thing. I seriously believe that you have hidden talents that can benefit you, if you want to put the work into it. You've already proven you can do it. When what's-his-name left you broken hearted and devastated, you responded by picking yourself up and putting all the pieces back together. It was like watching a cocoon hatch to reveal a beautiful butterfly spreading its wings and preparing to soar, filled with new life. It was/is a beautiful thing.
