I know!!! It's beyond bizarre to me. But she was the real winner of this season to be honest...every publication has declared that as well. And the fact that she got Sia's prize makes me happy for her. Carolyn was practically in every shot this season and that's unprecedented really.
Carolyn is an all time favorite player of mine and while this could be recency bias, there's no denying she SLAYED this season and had many fooled. She had an excellent blend of emotions and strategy and should be proud of the game she played! Love you carolyn!!! 💜

Honestly she’s the best character to ever play, and she was also an incredibly underestimated strategic presence. Her authenticity was oozing from her at every moment, and I think that was the key to her social game. She’s a lock to come back at the first opportunity, absolutely love her.

Yam Yam is a well deserving winner! However Carolyn is my winner, she never was in threat of going home and played a great game. She just wasn’t able to explain it as well as Yam Yam and she explained it too early a few nights before final tribal and because of that the jury wasn’t present. At the end of the day she is soooo inspirational and she is a big role model for me as I start my recovery. ❤
this season felt the most like a classic survivor season!!! more unhinged characters and post merge was just classic gameplay that I missed, and the cast alone was enough to make the season entertaining :)))) I freaking love Carolyn and can't wait to see her back on the show

I love Carolyn, she had an incredible ability of being able to read people and understand when there was something unspoken etc. She was emotional, but it played into her hand as being one of the most powerful tools that season period. I honestly wish she won. She has a hard time speaking for herself in front of people and that to me was the only thing that kept her from securing a win over Yam Yam.

Not the best player and not even top 2. Carson wins in finals 9-0-0 and yam did win in finals 8-1-0. She had no out play, no out wit, could not win a challenge to save her life, but as we saw, she was almost goat-like. I don’t think she could’ve won against many people. Her best move was pulling in Carson so he could do all the work. Carson and Yam are top 3 new era (along with jesse) she was not best player and was no where near robbed. She was my favorite but I didn’t want her to win because she made 0 moves
While the sentiment makes sense I’ve heard rumors that actually Yam Yam was closer to Danny and Brandon and more respected and talked to everyone so I wouldn’t be surprised if Yam Yam actually wins in a finale 3 of the Tika, since like I said his bonds were socially stronger to everyone in the game than Carson. Additionally girl get your numbers right 😂 the last time there was 9 jurors was Cagayan which was almost a decade ago. It would have to be 8-0-0 and based on the collection of jurors this season I find that improbable.
According to post-season interviews. By the time Carolyn reached day 26 she was just so mentally exhausted she couldn’t really sell her case to the jury. YamYam said she was the biggest threat because of the “underdog” game she played but due to how exhausted she was she couldn’t explain how she deserved to win and nobody voted for her, she definitely could have won if she wasn’t as exhausted as she was.
if she could have verbalized in FTC that her being herself, fully allowing her to be the "turkey of the tribe", taking advantage of that made her UNTOUCHABLE than she could have gotten a good amount of votes or even won. because that's just TRUE especially on a rewatch. no one was legitimately going to vote out Carolyn because she disguised her threat level so well to the point that no one even considered her. also through creating real bonds and the best alliances in the whole cast, she was constantly in the know and also made the effort to take control when she could!! she wasn't dragged around in the slightest; she had major game but didn't verbalize it at all which was sad to see :(

That FTC was so hard to watch. There were like 2 segments where they didn’t even let her talk. I hope that jury watched the season back and realized what a misstep it was not to give her much respect in the end. Definitely felt like they gave yam yam all the credit for her game.

This season had some great characters that could’ve fit in with any season. Carolyn and Yam Yam gave me old school survivor vibes if that makes sense. Knowledgeable but casted also for entertainment.
