Walleye Bust - Boundary Waters Area Ely Minnesota

Summer fishing near the Boundary Waters - Ely, Minnesota. We were hoping for walleyes but the timing wasn't right, so we hit the Smallmouth hard instead. Video includes a few catches from our 7 day trip.

This video made my whole day and put the biggest smile on my face. My family had the first cabin there over a 100 years ago. It made me so happy to see others enjoy that lake. It was so funny for me to know every little in and out. We love to fish and hunt there year round. It made me think of every summer there with my grandparents on both sides. Landing my dads once in a life time fish last summer. Thank You!

Was this the same time of the month as the year before where you did well? Do you think the water was too warm or cold? We're heading up there in June, just wondering what we're in for!
