- When we got the call from the Robot Heart team asking if we were going to attend the Free Burn, and would we be able to DJ their 1st sunrise since 2019, we knew something special was about to take place.
Both of us had performed solo sets on the bus many times in the past, but this was to be our 1st time playing as a duo. This special sunrise set is a dedication to the life of Robot Heart founder, Geo.
We did our best to capture his inspiration, celebrate his contribution, and shine a light on his legacy.
We had several discussions back and forth with RH members that knew Geo well, and with that knowledge, we prepared special songs and spoken word moments to honor his memory.
Apart from that we did not plan out any of the set, and allowed the moment and energy to guide our selections and musical choices.
We’d like to thank the entire RH Family for their trust and support over the years. And we’d especially like to thank all the true Burners who were in attendance, for adhering so well to Larry’s 10 principles, respecting the Playa, and reminding us all why we make this trek out to the barren, yet magical landscape, every year. Together we danced to celebrate life, and in particular, to celebrate the life of Geo, as he watched from above.
We hope this recording brings a smile to the faces of all the lovely Burners who were in attendance, and also to all those Burners, including Geo (who were there in spirit) dancing in the dust, with sunshine and freedom, radiating all around us.

We saved a couple once ina dustorm deep playa. He was in a chair and they had no shelter. Our team hoisted him up into the car and drove them back to the esplanade.💜💜💜 love and lights friends. I miss ussss💜💜😭😭💜💜

What an incredible vibe and rhythm. Something so amazing about seeing folks get together, dress up and have fun dancing to some good tunes!
What a surprise to end it with Chaka Khan - Ain't Nobody at 4:16:20. You don't expect that kind of song during this kind of a set but it was so perfect and what a way to cap off the set. Such a beautiful, happy, nostalgic song that leaves you no choice but to groove along with it. And then to mellow down to the always awesome version of Rainbow. Wow.
Overall really great set. The tribal beats, the spoken word sections. What a great tribute.
Also, nice on the Tool shirt. No surprise you are into them based on the set you put out.
