  • I like this bomber! I do not like the heavies the bomber has to deal with. It could be worse, it could be tier V or VI.

This is one of the few airplanes in which I can consider myself an "expert" if you know how to use it, it can give you many benefits and here are three survival tips:
    1) fly as high as possible
    2) If a fighter (light or heavy) comes over you, start turning ONLY USING THE RUDDER ON ONE SIDE (making circles), that way you can put up to three machine guns on the enemy at the same time and if you are at high altitude, the fighters suffer to maintain the maneuver behind you, this only applies if you have good situational alert, always check who is approaching you.
    3) Anti-aircraft artillery can also be easily evaded in the same way, by circling with the RUDDER
    thanks for sharing!

Totally agree! I have pulled so many langs with this plane! stay above 2800m Boost to each larger cap slow down do your drops boost out till you reload boost back in until you turn it boost to the next! I rarely(u ntil after squall and the bot heavies turn into bomber head hunters) have trouble with enemy planes bothering me unless someone just decides to target me and waste their time trying to get their plane way up to attack me!
      I Love this plane!

At 2:02. This is the bane of my existence when operating a bomber. Though usually it's bots who come in and crash or immediately get shot down after I've made a good run.

@@PostalMonkey I had an EXTREMELY frustrating battle in the B-17G last week. 1 on 1 human (never saw the other guy), Desert map with 5 garrisons. Not the best for a carpet bomber. 14 ground targets destroyed, no zones captured. I would leave a zone with just a sliver left. Start to the next zone, look back and watch it go back full red. It was like my bots were professional target drones.

your aiming.. oooh my my, my head hurts.. :P
keeping your sight (black crosshair) ahead of your bomb reticle (white marker); not behind (that makes plane try to turn) , not twitching left to right and versa. using flaps, air brakes and tail pivot will make your bombing way smoother and nicer experience.
nice tips on altitude and pre-releasing bombs (works the same for single bomb releasing) :) - wish people would finally learn.

I do like the Heinkel. It doesn't handle heavies well at all, but it is fun to carpet bomb with at low tier. It actually bombs from high altitude pretty well if you slow down and double drop on hard targets.

I love how in games, players cry about bombers being too high!
Why would you wanna keep getting shot down at 3,000 feet then spend valuable minutes flying back to the objective?! I’m not a bullet magnet playing to increase YOUR score ffs.
CLIMB! Altitude keeps you alive and allows you to do max damage for the team. Slow down for the bombing run, and the accuracy is still fine.

Intelligent_Zombie: I have that Bomber, love the look, but my good Lord, is it slow......... I have Heavies all over me when I fly it, I love & hate the thing! Tier 5 matches are a killer. Tail Gunner is terrible. Your a better man than I Postal, it looks cool tho... LOL

Hey Postal from your friendly neighborhood Wombat.
I have 90 battles in this plane, and average 25k damage. Couple things. It helps if I fly like a roller coaster. Climb up, swoop down to bomb, and boost back up again.
Also on the gunner, take the skill that crits. Whomever is chasing you will be at the edge of their altitude envelope. Critting an engine or wing or pilot, and they'll drop back down. Little MGs, little bullets, lotsa chances to crit.
Also try and be more steady on the reticle. Plan your path. And one thing you did really well was target ground installations that were mostly destroyed.
I haven't flown this baby in a while. Need to dust it off, and my T3 Ju 86. Just cause its cool, hate that it's low level

I agree, all low and mid tier bombers have abysmal defenses and usually abysmal forward firing guns (if any at all). The only exception is the premium A26-B which has descent guns (I can shoot down other bombers) and the B-32. The only way to survive is usually to sacrifice accuracy by going higher out of harms way.

The He 111 H-2 is a good solid bomber with a great historical pedigree. And like you, I really enjoy using it. If anyone is wondering if it's worth buying, it's a great low tier silver maker.

@@PostalMonkey Yes I do. Fly it high. Bomb any sector you can get your reticle over(even airbases or Airfields). Don't use anything in the ordnance slot, the reload is long enough as it is and the plane is slow enough as it is.

Hello! Postal, which planes do you consider unique? Each of us develops a specific line or several of them. We usually sell lower tier planes. Which would you leave in your hangar? Greetings from Poland!

    • @PostalMonkey
      @PostalMonkey  3 роки тому

I have a few lines I really enjoyed: the German fighter line, the American heavy fighter line, and the Lavochkin fighter line. There are also quite a few where I liked only a handful of the planes.
As far as unique? The AD 10C2 is incredibly unique! I'm not sure it's good, but it is fun!

There isn't much saving grace from low tier bombers. The reload is too slow, the plane is too slow. the guns can't shoot down anything, I've struggled to take out light fighters in some of the lower tier bombers. Even using good solid crews, I still get barely any damage out. I haven't picked this up, but seeing it here makes me want to pick it up.

If you like this sort of bomber playstyle then go up the american bomber tree.
It is pretty much this but Moar tankiness and actual turret strength.
bomb sight vs reinforced hard points:
its up to you and how you want to play.
The advantage of Hard Points is obvious.
Moar bombs per game. moar sectors flipped, Moar points per game etc etc.
And plenty of bomber players will time their approach to a cap zone in such a way that the bombs reload JUST as they are over their first drop sight ...
With that said Bomb sights are a different approach entirely.
When it comes to bombing accuracy there are many contributing factors to where each bomb winds up.
The biggest number *by far* that determines accuracy is the Altitude from which you make the drop.
All things being equal a +15% to accuracy bomb sight lets you release bombs from +15% higher in the air.
This can be maxed out to +54% So what does that look like?
In the video Postal was flying well above the optimal (cruising speed) altitude of 6552 feet dropping from 7800 feet and was able to hit what he aimed at with no apparent issues whatsoever. He was even able to wiggle that plane around to spread the drop out a bit ...
Side note: Using Rudder (Yaw control) is better for this than wiggling your bomber with the a or d keys (Roll control).
So this means that with a maxed out bomb sight Postal can drop from 10,100 feet of altitude and be as accurate as he is at 6500 feet.
On a plane that has a max ceiling of 12,467 ft. (which Postal can actually do with his Uptuned Engine )
This allows you to loiter your plane over the cap zone and not take any chip damage from AAA guns. If you fly high enough they dont even shoot at you. Same for heavies that have no business trying to fly high enough to catch you (beaufighters)
The biggest difference is that it takes "54%" longer for the bombs to actually land.
Which sucks when you waste a drop on a target that gets blown up during the bomb drop.
Also your top speed is so garbage at max altitude. Which is fine for playing the slow game while over a target cap zone but a zero will beat you to the next cap zone in a race. So dont forget to nose down to gain energy and speed once you leave the AAA bubble.
This isnt always the Best thing to do in every situation or plane of course. but it is most useful for the german bombers in mid tiers.
As opposed to the Russians that bomb in a dive for maximum accuracy. THe CAN use a bomb sight to release their bombs sooner but they can also just dive lower. They pay more attention speed and/or Boost performance. And for the Peshkas that hang their bombs Externally ... Aerodynamic Pylons also have positive effect
In a bomber that flies neither fast enough to evade a heavy nor high enough to avoid AAA because I carry the Largest bomb capacity (by far) that takes forever to reload (americans) and then yes please gimmie that reinforced hard point.
