While I originally had this on as background noise during a mundane workday, I started paying closer attention when the band’s pre-game concert (in what has since morphed into the dawg walk) was shown at the 38:00 mark in the video. I have fond memories of attending these pre-game concerts as a 12 year old, and it’s one of the primary reasons why I became motivated to become a Redcoat where I marched from 2006-2009. In one of the most surreal moments imaginable, as soon as the thought of whether I was at this specific game and pre-game concert crossed my mind, I spotted me and my dad in the crowd. Remarkable coincidence that I happened to be standing in that exact spot 20 years ago, while also being alert enough to pay attention at that exact second in the video 20 years later.
