Excellent to find these again. They would look perfect in a diorama, just how they are, they really have the look of barn finds.

Thought that were neat to find them. Also found a large scale B52 model, I think I have all the pieces, he had it hanging from the ceiling and over time it crash landed on the floor. I might put it back together one day.

Dude there's no way I would clean those things.. Build a display of a junkyard or something like that. Those things are just cool.

Those are really cool! Real barn finds lol. Guys work really hard to achieve that weathered dusty look, yours are all natural. You just need to build the barn.

Funny you said that, because I thought about building a barn loft with some straw bales with the car in the middle.

Awesome unique video . Get a clear case and line those dirty barnfinds in a row. Leave them dirty it can't be replicated. Old thunderbird race car at the end is awesome. Clear coat turning yellow adds character

Great kits your dad had. I especially like what looks like the revell 30 Ford Woody. A real challenge to build. Hopefully you can soak them in some water to loosen up the heavy dust. You build some nice kits as well.

I use my wife’s old foundation brushes for dusting off my plane models. They’re really gentle. I was thinking that you could leave the old cars dusty, and make a “barn find” diorama 🤔

Man those are cool old kits especially the old cars, I've collected a lot of those over the years. Some I clean and some I don't....those I wouldn't but that's just me. When I do clean I use a real soft paint brush like they use for oil paintings and run the model under a very lite stream of warm water and brush gently then wipe down what you can get to without knocking off then let the rest air dry. It's really cool you have some of your dad's old builds. Enjoy them and let me know how the cleaning goes.

Myself I'd clean em. Just because of them being your dads. Dollar store artists brushes used dry first. Take the heavy stuff off and see where you want to go from there. Lotta times if you follow up with a damp brush- just water- you can get a lot more too. Alternate between damp n dry brushes.

I spray Red Thunder brand degreaser similar to Mean Green on the model. Then dunk in a bucket of soapy water then in a bucket of just water. Cleans them without having to wipe down
