My hat is going to look quite different from this, but I finally understood how to make it work with the inner side of the hat because of this video. Thanks, it's really useful if you're familiar with sewing!

Thank you, I'm glad it helped.
I try to show as best as I can, but some projects are more complicated, and not suited for everyone. Some sewing knowledge is required.

I'm not entirely sure if that's what you used, but I'm intending to make the shade of the hat out of eva foam, do you think a normal sewing machine could handle that? I'd hope so hahaha.

For reference it's about 2mm thick.

In my case I used foam. I can't be sure if you can use a sewing machine with eva. You can always test in a small piece and see if its ok.

Alright! if not I'll see if I can find some workaround. The top part needs to be made out of fabric and perhaps stuffed loosely (so that you can shape the cone however you want), so maybe I can work around it somehow.

Just curious, what material did you use in middle of the brim of the hat? I understood everything but that one thing! Thanks.

Maye you all should learn how to read. In the description, it says. "In this video, I'll show you how to make a witch hat." NOT TEACH. However, I do agree that your comments have merit. We didn't need to see you pining every pin. The music is not great, and it did take longer than necessary. But, I must say, that you are a very good sewer and creator. Your work was really great.

Thank you! :), and yes, I also agree that this video can be improved.
I believe that we learn by doing it in order to make a better work next time...

this would have been better if it was actually a tutorial. No instruction at all. Just watching you sew a hat is not helpful. how do you figure the dimensions for the cone? the brim? serious waste of time!

      you improvise, like all tutorials.

this video takes way more time than it sould(you don't have to show how to put every single pin), and the song makes us sleep. Also it has no instructions at all, so it's not a tutorial

Just FYI, this video was painfully slow. You showed waaaay too much of each step. I ended up skipping through a lot of it.
