Just going to purchase this tool for these bushes as mine are shot, but why wouldn't you have grease in there to help install?? All Polyurethane bushes come with grease to help install and a lot of them squeak if you don't add it. The Powerflex bushes even come with a tube of grease. Just curious?

Did you had a noticeable issue before replacing? I think my e70 also needs those replaced on the highway if I accelerate it pulls slightly to the left. Also have negative camber wear on rear left tire. All bushings look good without spring/bag pressure.
Not really no. And it doesnt feel any better but its a bit of peace of mind. I purchased adjustable camber control arms and toes control arms to fix the negative camber. I'm sitting at 0 camber and 0 toe now. I think BMW calls for -2 camber.
@@X5Overland Nice bro. You got a nice truck there. Have you tried or heard anything about h and r or eibach spring's with Bilstein b8 dampers (B12 kit). I know it lowers the truck or should I just go ceika?
The problem I ran into was that every kit out there lowers the X5...thats why i chose ceika. Its also impossible to find the spring rate of the factory springs lol. I dont think im qualified enough to say which kit to go with but i do know that the ceika rear springs are very short and come with a spring spacer so there isnt a whole lot of travel. Best of luck!
question: Did you need to support the subframe via diff to lower or did you remove the two bolts on one side and let hang? or did you loosen all subframe bolts a bit and the one side completely?
Good question. Usually there will be a knocking from the rear end. But if you're still on your factory ones then its probably time to change them out haha. I would definitely go with polyurethane bushes also
I used Meyle HD subframe bushings. And yes, by design BMW wants 2 degrees negative camber but I dont like it lol. I purchased adjustable upper camber control arms to fix the issue but it's messing my toe up. So now we need adjustable toe control arms haha
I think I have to do this. I've been hearing a synchronized hum coming from the rear. Mostly hear it at slow speeds. So I replaced all four tires. Sound is still there. I was looking at the rear passenger side wheel and it's all warped up. I know there's supposed to be some camber but not this bad and the drivers side doesn't look this bad. I'm in the process of getting the bushings replaced. Hope it fixes the issue. Don't want to hear whuh-whuh-wguh anymore. Lol
@@X5Overland Cool. Curious to see your approach. We did ours and it was kind of a pain in the ass. The front wasn't so bad. We used a camber bolt on the bottom and lengthened the grooves on the towers. The back was harder. We were able to find a set adjustable upper control arms. Those took some effort and cussing to install. Then we took it to a shop so they could dial everything in. Good Luck!
The front is a breeze haha. The rear end seems to sag too easily messing everything up. We have adjustable upper control arms and was able to get the camber to 0 one time and ever since then, never again lol.
What part of oregon are you in? Im in the Portland metro area and in the process of overlanding my e53! Also just order the subframe bushings. If love to rent the tool!

Just finished on the one side job. Make sure to scroll out bolts left and right of the wheel before any try to take off the bushes.

did you unbolt both sides or one side at a time?
I did one side and left it pretty loose then did the other side. Just so the subframe lowered a bit more to get the tool on top
