I love that this series has created entire sets of iconography that can be easily identifiable in groups, like the loftwing carvings in Lanayru Promenade connecting back to Skyward Sword. Nintendo has created such a rich history for Hyrule
They really has haven't they. I love reading the books they create for each game, it just adds more layers to the experience and helps with appreciating just how much thought they put into the finer details. I seem to find something new every time. I love all the SS references - Fujibayashi's influence I'd imagine!
Thanks so much, really glad you enjoyed it 😃. It just makes so much sense doesn’t it - even if they take a slightly different form to what we know from Skyward Sword. Flying around the various regions on a Loftwing would be so much fun.
I definitely think the sky islands will be far more extensive than what we have seen. While down on the surface in a couple of the video shots, you can see a massive set of like 10 islands stacked on top of eachother, like you're going higher and higher. It wouldn't shock me if you go above the clouds at some point, which is something we currently couldn't see.
Thanks so much! Yeah it’s nice and relaxed isn’t it - exactly why I chose it after a long time searching for the right track! It’s from Bensound and it’s called Dreams. Website linked in the video description, hope that helps 😃
If you look at the map for the shot with the "orb" structure, it has a pot or container symbol. So judging by the gumball machine with a chute design, my thought is that its a capsule gatcha-esque machine that gives random items for a price.
@@zelda.kingdom That's okay, you can do what other folks do, and talk about the deep lore after the game comes out too; just be sure to give folks enough time to beat the game so almost-no-one gets the story spoiled. It'll be GREAT!
I would be ecstatic if Loftwings returned in this game, but I'm not holding my breath. It would be awesome if you could tame them like horses, and the Skyward Sword Link and Zelda Loftwing amiibos would have a chance of giving you theirs specifically.
That would be so good - like in Avatar, when they tame the Toruks, climb up high and then tame a Loftwing. Really like the idea of that! And agreed on amiibos, that could and probably should be the only way of getting the blue / red Loftwings respectively 👍
15:26 If you notice the symbols in each of the triforce are the 3 pearls (wind waker) symbols for the 3 godesses, which are represented by the dragons in BotW, so probably there will be some sort of transition after doing 3 dungeons. maybe the game opens up even more. Seeing that the overall symbol is the crest representing the loftwing, and that we can fly, I would not be surprised that a dragon turns into a ridable mount, a version of a loftwing.
At 8:24, you've missed the fact that the giant orb you point out coincides with the location of a shop icon on the minimap. It's very likely you can get items of some sort there. Also, the markings around it appear to be tracks for the minecart-looking thing nearby.
I'm gonna go crazy on the weapon combos... I hope u will be able to fuse more than 2 items, either by upgrading your arm power or gaining a new ability
Haha. Yeah I think they’re going to give us some good flexibility. Agree on the upgrading - suspect it may work similarly to how we upgraded the Sheikah Slate - time to start collecting those Zonai charges. Fusing 3 things together would be awesome!
I don’t really like the idea of the loft wings returning here. It would remove the need to build vehicles almost entirely. I could maybe see it happening if Zelda was playable and she was the one who use the loft wing as movement since she wouldn’t have access to the zonai abilities.
I don’t think it will take away from the experience, especially if the constructs can transport bigger items or land on water etc… I just want to build a flying pirate ship 😅
Yeah good shout on the Loftwing being available to Zelda - like the idea of that. Although I do like the idea of Link having to earn the right to ride the Loftwing - so we won’t have access to that option for large parts of the game, hence having to build other stuff. Get what you mean though - in the sense of would it discourage creative thinking / building mechanics… Flying pirate ship - love this! If you do manage to build that, please let me know!
I would love to see loftwings come back, and maybe that's the reason for the purple smoke next to the stable. Maybe that's where you register your loftwings? More importantly, I'm calling it now. I thinks we're gonna see the rebirth of the tryforce. The vary gods are gonna either start the cycle over or finish this unholy nightmare once and for all.
There will be 😃 - I firmly believe they’re holding back so much stuff, which I love. I want to discover stuff organically. They know what they’re doing, keep the faith 👍
I mean there's also the theory popping up and growing more support with each trailer for TotK, that it will manage to make the zelda timeline cyclical in nature. After all skyward sword talks about how the sky islands "rose up after a great calamity" Demise's curse is "a cycle without end" And even TotK's own logo has an outright ouroboros in it
@@greyrifterrellik5837 almost an ouroboros, it's actually 2 snakes eating each other which could point at 2 stories that end up becoming each other, so Skyward Sword is the first in this story, and Totk is probably the last, but then a new story begins and eventually that story leads to the rise of Denise and the beginning of Skyward Sword. I may be looking too much into it but I really hope that's it
Yeah, I dug into this theory on my 2nd March upload if interested - think I spotted something that lends support to it too (I've worked on the audio a lot since then though! 😅 - ua-cam.com/video/o0UA7QveSnI/v-deo.html) - I think it's one of my favourite theories out there. And yeah, Skyloft etc may be little more than ruins (similar to Lon Lon Ranch / other locations in BOTW) - but I can't help but feel it all lines up and BOTW/TOTK could be the initial surface war referenced at the start of Skyward Sword. A really interesting overarching objective for Zelda / Link in this game could be to break the cycle with no end.
I sometimes just run around in BOTW doing nothing but aimlessly wandering and listening to the music. I’ll no doubt be doing the same in TOTK - that sky island music is stunning!
Okay- hear me out for some VERY speculative evidence that they hinted to loft wings before (or what inspired them maybe) In the balloon side quest in BOTW the child Shamae says “I want to visit the sky by balloon. Then, I’m going to ride a really big bird.” We already know now that air balloons have been introduced into TOTK so yanno… could this be a reference? Probably not… but I had to say it somewhere 😂
Love this! I kid you not, I thought exactly the same 😃 - because she even says she dreams of a land in the sky, and believes that people used to live there long ago - so I completely agree. It has to be a reference right?! Had they been planning the implementation of the sky islands all along? Maybe they were held back by the Wii U previously.
Hey, did anyone else notice that the region outlines in Hyrule mainland is different? Like, when link is running around by dueling peaks stable, the minimap hasn't been activated yet, but the blue region outlines are in different places than BOTW. Wonder why the region borders have changed.
I think it is because the shiekah towers are gone and maybe replaced with the towers that have the lights shining around them? Some of them seem close together, though. So maybe there are more regions, or I'm totally wrong 😅
I just can’t help but to think that the falling debris seems to resemble the shooting stars in BOTW. I mean that every time you see one you have been looking in a particular direction. For example if you look at a Sky Island for long enough you will see something falling. Just like in BOTW when you look at the night sky in one direction a shooting star would appear. Like I said it’s just a thought that popped into my head. You all have a great day.
Yeah for sure, the world should feel very new to you then 😃. It looks like there’s going to be plenty of fresh content for all, can’t wait to get stuck into it!
When Zelda remake Wind Waker using the same Hyrule from BOTW and The Sky Kindom in TOTK that game will be perfect where we get to see the Hyrule we know foe two games get flooded.
One thing I haven't seen anyone mention, is the use for the Zonai Charge drop from Constructs. Battery powered machinery.... Zonai "Charge".... what do batteries need???? Hmmmmm!!!!!
Great point. Wonder if we will collect them to ultimately improve the capacity of batteries we build? Much in the same way that we would collect guardian parts in BOTW to improve Sheikah Slate abilities.
I am working on new video right now. It will be done around 2073. I can’t wait to share it. It will be about 50th anniversary of Tears of the Kingdom. I will dedicate the video to my Cat.
Love these comments! I think you're both right and I've re-watched that part of the September 2022 trailer a fair few times this morning. The bird device is clearly not something that has been put together by the Ultrahand ability (there's no glue by the looks it it), it's too neat - there's no way I could make something like that with Ultrahand. Think I'm going to dig into this a bit further!
Did you enjoy BOTW? I think the Zelda team innovate each time they release a new mainline game. Part of the reason I love the series 😃. These are much more than just glitches in my opinion - and there will be more abilities available, they're holding stuff back for now.

Don’t think it has been confirmed definitively. Yeah, I’m happy either way to be honest - Link is my favourite character across any series / game - so more than happy to solely play as him 😃
