I am a UK firefighter and this my helmet that i use in the colour yellow
This MSA F1 helmets are use sinze 1985 from the french firefighters ( chrome cover + chrome face protection for best heat protection)...in replacement for they old "Adrian" model 1915 steel chrome helmets...
These are not f1 they are f1xf helmets
I’m torn on these, I absolutely love normal Fire helmets but then again I think these thing are pretty cool
This is European style helmets been used in EU for more than 20 years... never understood why the hell in the states use those old helmets (beautiful, but unsafe)

In the UK we developed round helmat they protect your neck 8 hour battery life face shield fits in with a B.A mask very protective
Poor guys … paint your fire trucks the wrong color , then they take your helmets …

Then it's obvious you've never worn one. Much better than archaic leather
Ask the Houston Fire Department about those helmets they brought a few to experiment with them and they don’t last in heat. They won’t take over and replace the traditional helmets guaranteed.
@@huntersmith8338 and never will wear one our entire department said no way to those helmets. They’re a song and dance and will be played out within 5-10 years.
@@americanoutdoorsman_1133 It's sad to see you caring more about the looks than the safety of the US firefighters. Almost every US ff that was asked about it said that they hate the way it looks but it's far more comfortable and safe than the lEatHeR which falls of your head in some bigger winds
When they are mandatory for firefighters that will be my last day as a Firefighter traditional helmets are nice because water also rolls down off but your head still has an opening this looks to much like a Motorcycle helmet that a gypsy would wear.
Those helmets are way safer and it‘s proven
@@hagotcha6055 Just because I wear a "Safety proven" helmet doesn't mean I won't get a concussion or I won't die for whatever. I'll stick with my tradition leather New Yorker helmet.
