Most Indian traditions will seem weird at first. Because the meaning behind them has been lost. Take for example most Indian Gods/Goddesses have an animal associated with them like Shiva and Nandi or Durga and Tigers/Lions. The idea behind this was preservation. Most Indians believe in wearing gem stones, the idea behind them is medical, vibrations from crystals cause brain and other glands to function properly. Maanglic is a term used for matching marriage alliances. The time when this was put into action was a time when child marriages were prevalent in society, and the child mortality rate was high, meaning the person who you get married to may not live long enough to birth the next generation. How do you then decide who to get married to? The answer was sought in astrology. As per Hindu text the effect of being mangalic seizes to exist once you cross the age of 28. There are many more... but you have to see it through the eyes of the people who lived on those times to make sense of it... they are or rather were more practical than you would imagine...
In ancient India, chopping off the nose or ear were punishments. These people had to live their lives as branded criminals because everyone who saw them would know. Of course if they became rich, the first thing they would want to do is reconstructive surgery. Sushruta was one of the experts at reconstructive surgery.
Indi, like you I'm a big fan of India. It seems like the Guy who did the Report in the video about India's train system is a Western Stereotype. Yes, the Indians know that they need to upgrade their rail system and they're working hard to do it. Last year, they launched "Train 18' which is the first Modern train that's 100% Indian technology. They're also working on the upcoming Bullet Train Project. Just last week, they launched the design of a new train designed with Canada's Bombardier. They've also been building new underground subways which are World Class. It's wrong for Westerners to paint a picture that Indians hang out of trains as if it were some poor, "Third World" country. A lot of the new infrastructure in India is better than the United States. Anyway, keep up your good work about India. Like you I hope to visit India in the future...

The toe ring is called "metti" in Tamil, Sushruta did the first eye surgery as well, for cataract. They were wrong about India producing the most films, surprisingly Nigeria pumps out more lol. Also, I think Bright side knew the Indian market for views and just found whatever they could squish in to make a list. because I've heard of the same shampoo thing twice before in their channel.
Exactly, ikr. I was really surprised when Bright side said India produces 1,200 films EVERY YEAR. As an Indian I don't think that's true but the films get really popular.
"Bollywood" is still used to describe the whole Indian film industry! But the output of at least 1200 films is the total of the films coming out from Tollywood, Kollywood, and a lot of other industries!

The British saw the kings of Jodhpur wearing them hence the name. In India however these are known as Band Gala which literally translates as Closed Neck. 6. Khaki: When the British ruled India, they standardized of Tan colored uniforms for the police and the armed forces. This color is called Khaki in Hindi. The color was a good comoflage in the dusty plains of India. These uniforms were extensively used by British troops all over the world and you may have seen them in any WWI and WWII movie. They were all made in India. The fabric they used for the uniforms were cotton with a unique weave patentented in Britain as the Gaberdine weave. In India, we used to refer to the fabric as Gaberdine, since it was available in other colors too. Hi Indi, love your videos :) Could you do one about names turning to falooda in documentation, please? What happens is various documents, like election time documents... well, they write names down in Devnagri script (in Hindi or Marathi) or other Indian language scripts,. These names go through a bundle of other translations as they move from govt official to govt official and language to language. By the time your name come out on paper on the document in English, the published name is anything but your name, and they need photo proof of your identification to let you vote. It’s hilarious :) We do look forward to elections just to see how they jumble our names up.
*What is special about being a Hindu?* 1) Believe in God ! - Aastik - Accepted 2) Don't believe in God ! - You're accepted as Nastik 3) You want to worship idols - please go ahead. You are a murti pujak. 4) You dont want to worship idols- no problem u can focus on Nirguna Brahman. 5) You want to criticise something in our religion. Come forward. We are logical. Nyaya, Tarka etc are core Hindu schools 6) You want to accept beliefs as it is. Most welcome. Please go ahead with it. 7) You want to start your journey by reading Bhagvad Gita - Sure ! 😎 You want to start your journey by reading Upanishads - Go ahead 9) You want to start your journey by reading Purana - Be my guest. 10) You just don't like reading Puranas or other books. No problem my dear. Go by Bhakti tradition. 11) You don't like idea of Bhakti ! No problem. Do your Karma. Be a karmayogi. 12) You want to enjoy life. Very good. No problem at all. This is Charvaka Philosophy. 13) You want to abstain from all the enjoyment of life & find God - jai ho ! Be a Sadhu, an ascetic ! 14) You don't like the concept of God. You believe in Nature only - Welcome. (Trees are our friends and Prakriti or nature is worthy of worship). 15) You believe in one God or Supreme Energy. Superb! Follow Advaita philosophy 16) You want a Guru. Go ahead. Receive gyaan. 17) You don't want a Guru.. Help yourself ! Meditate, Study ! 18) You believe in Female energy ! Shakti is worshipped. 19) You believe that every human being is equal. Yeah! You're awesome, come on let's celebrate Hinduism! "Vasudhaiva kutumbakam" (the world is a family) 20) You don't have time to celebrate the festival. Don't worry. One more festival is coming! There are multiple festivals every single day of the year. 21) You are a working person. Don't have time for religion. Its okay. You will still be a Hindu. 22) You like to go to temples. Devotion is loved. 23) You don't like to go to temples - no problem. You are still a Hindu! 24) You know that Hinduism is a way of life, with considerable freedom. 25) You believe that everything has God in it. So you worship your mother, father, guru, tree, River, Prani-matra, Earth, Universe! 26) And If you don't believe that everything has GOD in it - No problems. Respect your viewpoint. 27) "Sarve jana sukhino bhavantu " (May you all live happily) This is exactly the essence of Hinduism, all inclusive .. That is why it has withstood the test of time inspite of repeated onslaught both from within and outside, and assimilated every good aspects from everything . That is why it is eternal !!! There is a saying in Rigveda , the first book ever known to mankind which depicts the Hinduism philosophy in a Nutshell " Ano bhadrah Krathavo Yanthu Vishwathah" Let the knowledge come to us from every direction.
trains in india are not always like this but yes when some huge gathering occurs during any fest like Kumbh mela it gets really problematic to get inside the train i never do that though once i travelled 5 hours standing or 2 inch line of seat. but all else it stays cool people can sit and travel. in my view trains are safe if you are using 3rd, 2nd, 1st class AC as you will be given privacy and everything will be fine. but i would not recommend general class cause it is very problematic to travel long distance in it.
I live in arunachal and I think it's wierd to say it out. But i really am curious that what could be the reason for your attraction towards india ,though I love my country and you.
Almost all of the indian traditions have scientific reasons behind them. Like that one wearing ring in second fingure of toes. The nerve in second fingure is direct connected to uterus so it helps in regulating the menstrual cycle. And silver ring is used instead of gold because silver is better conductor than gold which helps in transferring energy from earth more easily
The most weird thing about US is they process the milk and use it for an year. And fresh unprocessed milk is illegal there. In India, we would go to limits to get fresh unpaid milk without any trace of water in it. We prefer to get it directly from a cattle owner we just filter it using a cloth or a sieve and boil it. If its just been an hour after it was extracted then you can even drink it without boiling. At my home state we have the best milk we get cream layer (malai) two times a day from the same milk. I saw in a US TV show that a man was found with pints of raw milk and police made him spill it on the ground 😭 I got so sad we travel many kilometres from the city to get fresh raw milk.
I was my family to be born in Indiana. But the rest of my family was born in India Punjab! And I am the only one in my family who speaks fluent English- so I basically have a lot of work to do! 👳🏽♂️🙏🏽

*What is special about being a Hindu?*
1) Believe in God ! - Aastik - Accepted
2) Don't believe in God ! - You're accepted as Nastik
3) You want to worship idols - please go ahead. You are a murti pujak.
4) You dont want to worship idols- no problem u can focus on Nirguna Brahman.
5) You want to criticise something in our religion. Come forward. We are logical. Nyaya, Tarka etc are core Hindu schools
6) You want to accept beliefs as it is. Most welcome. Please go ahead with it.
7) You want to start your journey by reading Bhagvad Gita - Sure !
😎 You want to start your journey by reading Upanishads - Go ahead
9) You want to start your journey by reading Purana - Be my guest.
Superb! Follow Advaita philosophy
16) You want a Guru. Go ahead. Receive gyaan.
17) You don't want a Guru.. Help yourself ! Meditate, Study !
18) You believe in Female energy ! Shakti is worshipped.
19) You believe that every human being is equal. Yeah! You're awesome, come on let's celebrate Hinduism! "Vasudhaiva kutumbakam" (the world is a family)
20) You don't have time to celebrate the festival.
27) "Sarve jana sukhino bhavantu " (May you all live happily)
This is exactly the essence of Hinduism, all inclusive ..
Total film produced every year may be near to 5000
We respect you a lot indi ji 😁😁
trains in india are not always like this but yes when some huge gathering occurs during any fest like Kumbh mela it gets really problematic to get inside the train i never do that though once i travelled 5 hours standing or 2 inch line of seat. but all else it stays cool people can sit and travel. in my view trains are safe if you are using 3rd, 2nd, 1st class AC as you will be given privacy and everything will be fine. but i would not recommend general class cause it is very problematic to travel long distance in it.
Indi Ji
Vanakkam from tamil nadu 🙏

Much love Rossi ❤️
I live in arunachal and I think it's wierd to say it out. But i really am curious that what could be the reason for your attraction towards india ,though I love my country and you.
We would probably call you "ROSSYJI"
Almost all of the indian traditions have scientific reasons behind them. Like that one wearing ring in second fingure of toes. The nerve in second fingure is direct connected to uterus so it helps in regulating the menstrual cycle. And silver ring is used instead of gold because silver is better conductor than gold which helps in transferring energy from earth more easily
ñïçē keep going 😊. Love from India 🇮🇳😘
Biggest fan love you from nashik ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😍😍😍😍😍
Namaste "Rossi ji"!!
