- Hi!
No music. No talking. Just work.
If you are taking your LENOVO SL500 laptop apart be careful and wear an anti-static wrist band or use other anti-static device. If you need to change a LCD usually you don't have to take screen out of a laptop. You can leave it on a laptop and watch the last part of the video where I am taking LCD apart. If you need to change a keyboard, you don't have to take all bottom screws out. There are usually some marks, like a keyboard picture, on a case bottom. If you need to put a laptop back to work be aware of screws. They are different and you better remember or mark them somehow to insure that you will put them back in to a right place.
Some laptops I take apart first time, so don't be serious on my time and performance.
If something got broken - ooops, it's your fault.
Believe me, some parts in your laptop are already broken, you just don't see that.
This video is like insurance for your laptop. With this video and some skills you will be always sure that at least you can try to repair your laptop. If it's broken you don't have to sell it or throw it away. You can find some new or used parts somewhere and change it. It maybe will be your new job or hobby. And if it didn't worked out you still will be able to ask somebody else to fix it.
So, just watch this video and fix your laptop.
Have fun and good luck!!

Everything runs smooth and works JustU.Faith/Thinkpad-T will randomly say (isnt charging) even though plugged in but than charges the next day. Smooth and no lag for my dj programs and youtube rct.Cant handle world of warcraft with lowest settings as expected.can handle opposing force type of games. no problems with the startup or software.
First, thank you for this great service. You'l keep a lot of hardware out of landfills! Is there a rhyme or reason on where you put components on the work surface as you remove them to aide when it comes time for reassembly? The hardest part would sem to be knowing what order to reassemble. How do you figure that part out?
You know, after ripping thousands of laptops and other devices apart - you will know the right order :)The real truth is, just place carefully everything back and only battery and power cord after all :)))
I did not see sponsors/advertising. Do you earn income from making these videos?
Hello, you are very welcome! Many parts are getting a new live via internet!
Impecable el video me permitió reparar una Lenovo que tenia en el taller.
Gracias por compartir su conocimiento.

+atommachine you are welcome!
I have a SL500 with a broken screen hinge and the case is cracked. Considering buying a used SL500 and trading MB and HD, or all from existing to new one. Is that doable?
I need to replace the hinge attached to the LCD panel of my lenovo sl400. Can you please post a video on how to do so? This is probably the only thing you have missed.
Thank you buddy!!
Hi regazzz ;) nice vid and help for ppl with SL500 problems...
I need to know what parts are 100% needed to take apart and what parts maybe like fan, GC, chip etc can stay attached - cause I have to repair the DC Jack and open my Laptop.

Great video, in order to change or repair the i/o card,it is necessary disassenble all ?
You will need to remove only what's needed in order to remove it! :)
Is the taking apart procedure the same for SL400? im plannig to open it up and clean the fans and such... Lots of thanks in advance!
Lind L.Heart Pretty much every taking apart procedure is the same. Remove all screws - carefully remove all parts :) So - yes. I hope there will be no problems! (or was - considering I am answering a month old question!) :))))
You are welcome!
Oh, I did answered two times (and this is a third one) Gracias!!! :)))

hola , can you help me , i need repaired the connector because is very limp and the pc not turn. my quetions is : I'll have to disarm almost all the pc to repair or there any way to repair it by opening it directly below?
Genarby Peña You will need to take out everything that is needed to get to a part you want to repair.
Bro,
How do I remove the hard drive?
EXCELENT ..SO GOOD
Good old times when you could easily repair your laptop at home... now you have to pay 200$ to a technician just to get a new battery
Hey it depends on a laptop.
I kinda like newer laptops because everything is build in, although I hate it too because you can't upgrade CPU and specially sucks if you can't remove a hard drive.
como puedo saber donde va cada tornillo por su tamaño
If I work on a computer and plan to assemble it back, I creat a basic view of all screws layout and just place them there. Otherwise it could be harder and you would need to search specifications
Perfect but why so rough
Thanks, at that point I am surprised that such a video can be perfect! :-) Anyway, I am happy it is still useful!
@@regazzz It was very helpful :)
