    Hi, Did the water filter reduce the limescale in the unit and what is the brand of the water filter?

    Can you use it on a back patio in the summer time? I live in a very hot area and would like to enjoy the outsides in July. Also, will an outdoor garden hose suffice? Thanks

      No I have not but I do keep the front door and back door open. I could see that happening if you don't have the doors open.

    What’s your reason for the inline filter?

    • @m2mdetail781
      @m2mdetail781  2 роки тому +1

      That's where the water flows down and cools the air

      It prevents mineral buildup from tapwater you wouldn’t need it if you had distilled water but who wants to keep buying gallons of distilled water

      I think what he’s trying to say is the filter keeps some of the hard water out of the machine to reduce buildup 😜

    Does the pump button need to be on at all times ?

    • @m2mdetail781

      Yes. You can turn it off and on but once the water drys out it will just be warm air blowing. So keeping it on works best

      @@luhawk2901 I would try cold water maybe some ice in there but not sure if you can put ice in there. But colder water should help it get cooler

    As a retired AC tech ( 40 y + ) I m telling you that IT S JUST A WASTE OF MONEY. Buy a real AC instead. All the good reviews are FAKE. Without a compressor, it s NOT possible to do any good.

      My neighbors Edison bill is 650-750 a month in summer from his AC. Does feels way better then this swamp cooler. My bill always stays around 125-165 in summer. That's the best thing about it lol.

      I would highly disagree…. If you live down in the bayou of Louisiana where humidity is high this apparatus will not provide much, if any relief. If your area’s humidity is relatively low then this unit can net impressive results. So location means everything! Even in higher humidity in settings such as a garage/shop, as long as you have your area open with airflow you will be happy. As long as you do a little research on how a swamp cooler works you should be able to determine if one is right for your application.

      ummmmm, no. I own the lesser 1,300 CFM Hessaire model and it is awesome. As long as its low humidity where you live, these swamp coolers do work. And they run cheaper, don't obstruct the window, and don't have that awful AC sound, they just sound like a fan. If you live on the West Coast, or just beyond, get one of these. For my purposes I put it in the bedroom mostly with ice cubes. Runs all night nice and cold.

      Just goes to show you that an AC guy with 40+ years of experience is absolutely wrong. Evaporative coolers (aka: swamp coolers) work great in open areas in dry climates -- like my garage where it blows out air 20 degrees cooler than ambient -- and is as cheap as a fan to operate.

    • @alexwestconsulting
      @alexwestconsulting 11 місяців тому

      @@beepbop6697 to be fair, the AC guy is only wrong depending on his locality. He may be in an area where evaporative coolers don’t work well (southern east coast especially) and so has no experience or knowledge of their proficiency elsewhere since it’s not applicable in his area.
