- The full last race of Marstrand Big Boat Race 2019. We led with one point ahead of FinnFlyer 36 Zlatan (the grey boat hunting us in the pre-start), with match racing star Johnie Berntsson.
We finished with the series series (4)-1-1-3-1 for a class win.
Nice crew work! Everyone know their job….very little talk and no yelling!
Mainsheet hit the windward mark. You should have done penalty turns.

Kul. Det är ganska ovanligt att filma hela race, men jag kan rota lite i arkiven och se om jag hittar något annat. Jag har inte koll på andra som lägger ut hela race.

Love your videos, but you have to get that camera OFF OF YOUR HEAD! Especially during prestart.
I find it interesting to see the boats around, to get a complete picture of the prestart.
not sure it is fun to reexperience the action from one persons point of view. But on the other hand I would love some kind of vr / 360 3D recording so I could look at whatever catch my attention as well :)

What were you yelling to the boat that leebowed you at 14:01?
They were complaining about us forcing them to tack when on layline to the mark. My call was "No, there's current!!! Those guys are on layline!". This it typical Marstrand Conditions where you need to go far above the layline as you often get hit by a strong northerly current on the last port tack. This time it wasn't too bad. Our main concern was staying with FinnFlyer 36 Zlatan as we were fighting for the series.

nice video, but how the helmsman tacks/gybes the boom is dangerous, he should 'toggle' the boom using the mainsheet, ie pull the sheet, not pull the boom across, it is NOT a 5" DINGHY for G****sake!
Not at all. It's a dedicated mainsail trimmer and there's almost no load. We pull the sheet in 25 knots of wind or more.
