Canyon Villas is one of our favorite "drive-to" resorts. We live in San Diego and go there every winter for a week, typically during the "Celebration of Fine Art" show. We love the "Spool" during the winter. It is a great pool to soak and relax. Marriott has been doing a good job of retaining its associates. We see the same folks once a year and they remember our names. Almost feels like home. Thanks for the nice review.
I agree, it is one of our favorite resorts now. We usually visit in the summer when it is HOT. So the Spool isn't quite as enjoyable then. Thanks for watching!
@@DestinationTimeshare Hi Jeremy, we're at Canyon Villas and (finally) they are using the key card gate. But they're doing it at night. When we returned last night around 10 pm, the gate was down and operational. Kind of makes sense.
Well done thorough review. We have been owners via resale (EOYE for $99) for a few years but have yet to visit. Definitely will make it to the property at some point in the future.
Scheduled to go there this weekend, we’re owners, does not appeal to me, do you know what nearby attraction can we go to? Thanks for this video. I’ll check out the others.
There is the Desert Ridge Marketplace with lots of shopping and dinning. I haven't been, but I hear the Musical Instrument Museum that is close to the resort is pretty good. Sedona is also a 2 hour drive so you could do a day trip driving up through Red Rocks to Sedona and back. We have done this a couple of times. The scenery is fantastic. Thanks for watching!
They do, but the JW Marriott also blocks off a lot of dates and the JW has also built a new waterpark area. It is expected that the waterpark won't be available to Canyon Villas guests without paying an additional fee. We will be at the resort later this year and I hope to find out more details at that time. Thanks for watching!

Thanks. It is a very nice resort. It has its drawbacks, but what resort doesn't. Great deal on the EOY resale week! Thanks for watching!

Do owners get access to JW Marriott Desert Resort when they stay at Canyon Villas?

Any update yet? 😊
@@NotYourMamasGarden Please let me know if you have heard anything. I will be at the Canyon Villas late May.
Is this a current stay? I live about 10-15 minutes away. Any questions about the area?
We checked out on Friday.
