EXCELLENT REBUILD INSTRUCTIONS! Took me 20 minutes of being very careful, with my wife holding phone to call plumber because she had doubts. Works like new! Thank you!
Thanks for posting this. I had a problem with the brine tank filling with water and realized by watching this video I had a bad seal under my brine valve.
Thanks, this video was just what I needed to go ahead and fix my water softener. It was easy and your video was very clear. My kit also came with some extra parts, but I just made sure that everything I took out got replaced and things went very smoothly. And now I have some extra O-rings and screws! Yay!
At about 3:30 you are pulling additional spacers out. My softener is about 20 years old and these were extremely hard to remove. I notice there is a buildup of (presume) minerals on the body which prevents the mechanism sliding smoothly. Can that buildup be removed somehow or does the valve body need to be replaced at this point?
Hello, thanks so much for the video. I ordered these two parts but the main piston came with four additional gaskets (not the large ones you show installing) that you don't show where they go or what they are used for. One is small, one is a little bigger and then there is a large one. There is an additional small gadgets but its not your typical round profile but a flatter on (but not the same size as the ones you show in video). Can you let me know what these extra gaskets are used for and where/ how to install? thanks!

My brand new main piston is leaking right where the stem goes into the white rim.
Should I just buy another one?
My brine won’t draw. It pushes back into the brine tank. Tried everything, replaced all seals and Injector and still can’t figure it out.
