Very good explanation, it is always important to notice the important details for these exercises to understand the meaning properly. To me it seems as important as exercise as opposed to fitness. Thanks Tara, I look forward to the next part. Have a nice week.

This is my current goal in physical therapy.. it's hard to sit, stand and i mostly don't walk more than a metre.. I'm using therapeutic bicycles on passive mode and it stopped me at six minutes because of too many spasms //i had few PT exercises before that for half an hour///( i would upload the picture) it was in passive mode & no resistance and with a slow speed ive been in rehabilitation for a year for general DYSTONIA I'm only declining I'm losing hope 😢

Thanks for sharing your story and where you are at in your recovery! The "reverse" function on the motomed is an excellent feature. :)

My right leg has so much weakness, I’m really going to have to work on that.

I can now get down to my knees, it took me a long while to achieve this. Now it's getting easier. I have the issue where I can't do two things at once. For example, If one leg is up, my affected side leg can't go up. If my arm is raised, my affected side arm can't raise. If I try to lift my toes up, my affected arm bends or flexes. Does anyone else experience this? If I try to move anything on my affected side, it seems like I'm straining and everything tries to move.

I place the knee of my affected side next to the instep of my unaffected foot when I go to kneeling, keeping the butt half tucked and moving from the pelvic floor, aka tanden. With less distance between points of contact, it's easier for me to control wobble and drift. Closing in on 3 years after CVA, I rarely loose balance and haven't fallen since I was in inpatient recovery.

The thing that I don’t see is what is the infected leg. Because she is using her right leg and she is using her left arm. Which is the affected side. Left or right?

Hi Tara! Why a prolonged stay on the floor after a fall will result in a prolonged hospitalization? What is the link?
    Thank you

Thanks for the question! Pressure sores, dehydration, and health consequences related to delayed care.
