In this video we go over the Nike KD 16:
Kevin Durant’s signature line has come to its 16th shoe, and this time it isn’t one that stands out to be exceptionally good BUT it gives you a little bit of everything… Cushion will get the job done for most types of playing styles - pretty soft in the heel, smooth landings and easy to take off with the forefoot Zoom unit. Traction is also great with the way it grips on both clean and dusty courts. On this colorway with a solid rubber outsole, dust pick up is minimal. With the fit, you can either go true to size for a tight and snug fit, or half size up for more room inside. Average weight, decent stability however breathability is not the best.

@TommyLiu4, I would add as well, I can tell KD really wanted to design this shoes for a bit more foot work since he's more reliant on it. The bottom loaded mid-forefoot shank and forefoot zoom really shined through when attempting Eurosteps for me.

So I bought a pair 15's after I bought the 16's. After I broke in the 16's, I prefer playing in them. I love full zoom strobel, but sometimes it feels like you're sinking into the shoe when you go to jump vs. once the 16's are broken in, the foam is extremely bouncy and responsive. You have to be patient with these shoes, but they become really fun to play in.
Comfort in the 15 is crazy love wearing that shoe
The design of the 16 is very progressive. I held off on the previous model cuz it looked similar to other Nike hoop shoes. Not to mention the materials on the new shoe are nicer. Shoutout to those who got the Aunt Pearls with me 🙏🏽 💕

Didn’t expect it to be that kind of a performer. So what I mean by that is that I’ve just expected it to be really as good as the KD 15 especially traction wise.

i love these got a pair a week ago. awesome traction and support. feels very secure. went half a size up and no problems at all. i don't think you should go a full size up though coz heel slippage will be a sure issue due to smooth heel design.

@@BobRoss-wm3lc no problems. Atm, im switching between kd 16 and wow 808 v3. Playing more with kd 16. I have the board room edition, so not the translucent traction. Its really good. Keeps getting better the more times you use it.
Thanks for the review. I played 2 games in KD14’s, I felt I had to tighten them so much to have no heel slippage, to the point where it hurt, the right shoe cut into the front of my ankle and wore a hole in my foot, probably a flaw in that actual shoe, but I couldn’t live with it so I returned them. I really want to love these, maybe I’ll try a pair of 15’s when they come on sale… loving my Zoom freak 5 at the moment though.
You got the wrong size fam
My toe was almost blowing out the front. I just picked up some 15s and they're beautiful. I have no slippage at all like a lot pf people complain about in them. @@DaneIbsen

@@BobRoss-wm3lc my freak 5s feel dead after a dozen games. Got a pair of 15s and absolutely love them. The trick to fitting the correctly is tying the laces while you have weight/pressure on your heel, no slippage. Perfection. Also got a pair of Jordan 38s which fit like a glove, a little softer and less stable in the heal that the Kds but I love them. Only drama is the delamination of the translucent outsole….

Hi Tommy, could you advise the higher of the ground shoes? I mean a very good impact protection shoes, especially in the forefoot, kind of the best right now in your opinion? I've played in bb nxt and lebron 15.. tried to play in zoom freak 4 and 5 but send them back..😅
Hey. GT Jump 2, LeBron 20, WOW 10. On the more affordable side, Son of Flash, Bounce Legend from Adidas these are decent options I think.

Hey tommy I think we have similar foot shape but the thing is I can't get the size 10.5 the 10 is the only available I can get,so my question is do you think I can get away with size 10? or they would be so snug that I might kill my toes?😂 have you triednthe size 10? if you do can you tell how to they feel on foot
Hi. No do not go with the size 10, sizing down would be too snug and uncomfortable I’m pretty sure. If 10.5 is your true size or normal size you can even go to 11.

Not related to the KD16 but what r ur fav shoes to play in? I have wider feet and they’re flat which causes overpronation, I love my LeBron nxxt gen and KD14 rn. I played with both the 15 and 16, 4 games per shoes, i can say i gravitated towards the 16, for more stability and lesser heel slippage. The 15 is still a banger though. They both served it's purpose depending on your play style.
Which is lower to the ground? I I actually sent my 15s back because I didn’t like how low to the ground they played. Does the 16 sit higher?
@@jrdatrackstar wearing KD15 (left ft) and KD16 (right ft) KD16 sits slightly higher due to the rear Air Stobel cushion.

@@jrdatrackstar , Forefoot has good court feel, zoom is noticeable, but not as crazy as the the kd15 zoom strobel.
can you compare the feeling of both cushion set ups?
How do you like these compared to the harden vol 7. Seems like nike tried a similar cushioning set up with strobel in the heel instead of boast
I think the Harden Vol. 7 cushion feels a little bit better, but it is a lot heavier on feet.

Heel slippage has been a major problem for kd15 and 16. I feel the KDs peaked at 14 followed by 13 (although 13 has a very strange shoe length).

i won’t be buying any kd16 until 🔥 colorway. the new tech isn’t bad in any means but i feel like it’s a slight downgrade from the kd15. the air unit in the heel isn’t bad but isn’t better than full length zoom either 🤷♂️

For myself I find with Nike’s shoes that fit so snug I get better heel lockdown half size up. I think that’s because I can pull the laces tighter without making the mid foot too tight

As a wide footer, KDs have never worked for me. Either they're way too small/narrow, or they have no heel lockdown.
I feel you… That was especially the case for me last year with the 15 😂
Yeah that’s why I got the Lebron NXXT Gens. They have amazing lockdown and traction. They are very comfortable too. I’ll suggest going up a half or full size tho. I got three pairs too!🔥🔥🔥

That would be a fair assessment. For now I’d still take the Son of Flash over these though - more secure, a little bit better support. 😃

Will be some, so I went TTS, but not as much as the KD 15.
yo is the translucent outsole better than the rubber outsole?
Both are okay for me - like an 8/10 traction performance from my experience.
