Fighters For Freedom is an interesting absence here. It's ability to deal damage through to bases, combined with the saboteur and amount of heroic units. A double For a Cause, with 1-2 FfF on the board could be 10 6-10 unstoppable base damage. I would probably swap it for Steadfast or pathfinder, maybe 1 of each of those and 1 Medal Ceremony.
That card is quite good, and depending on the matchup I would just take out the batallions entirely and replace them with those. Perhaps worth just taking up 3 slots in the sideboard.
Yeah it’s a bad include here. “Every deck runs it!” is bad reasoning - it isn’t Heroic or Rebel, and you’re not on ECL. Lots of better options - Zeb, more Wedge, maindeck U-Wing or Ackbar.
So this is a specific addition to get just that bit of extra damage for the aggro race, it oftentimes makes the difference, but I do like some of the other additions you could make.
Great video! I’ve been playing Sabine green from the start but I will need to give this a try since it uses almost all the same cause. Just one point : For a cause I believe in uses heroic cards not rebel so heroic sacrifice will count just not steadfast batallion :)
Really cool list! I've had some success with it and I'm probably gonna bring it to a tournament next week! Question though, regarding the sideboard. Which cards do you remove from the deck in order to slot in the sideboard for the control or midrange matchups as well as the aggro mirror? I'd really appreciate your input.
@@DailYxDosEit actually does work that way. Ambush is a “when played” ability, and when you have multiple “when played” abilities, to get to choose the order in which they’re executed. So you can ambush in the attack pod with Wedge first, then use the when played ability on the attack pod to ready it.
I have just started playing and with packs I have opened I built a Leia Yellow that seemed very powerful (for starting level decks mind you) because of her ability breaking action economy. This is probably my next move (although I'll be sad not to be using the Falcon, not gonna lie).
Depends on which vader matchup! Boba green is the hardest, my advice is to try and get in as much early damage as possible, so when they do play vader, you are able to rely on things like K2/For a Cause to finish the job. This is where sideboarding comes into play as U-wing reinforcements is the perfect rebuild after they drop a vader.
It is actually pretty solid in this deck specifically. Battalion certainly has more "swingy" turns for more damage, but it's not a rebel and there are sometimes when you can use that Zeb effect to completely wipe a board.
LOL, I used to watch your Diablo Immortal content 😁 Didn’t know that you play TCGs. I hear you say Mana and creatures often, so I guess you also play Magic? 😂😁👍🏻
I literally made almost the same deck with about six or eight different cards. I don't really care for the steadfast battalions and I was torn between the guerilla attack pods and rogue squadron skirmishers so I went with the skirmishers. Same stats, both rebels, both vehicles but the when played to get a two cost unit from your discard Seems pretty good with so many good 2 cost vehicles and ground units to grab. I've also got one copy of u-wing reinforcements in there too. Too good not to run as a finisher
@@That_Eriksson Andor draws you an extra card per turn. He is insane. The developer of the game plays Andor yellow and his list seems bonkers. He said everyone’s sleeping on it, but it’s really good, especially vs boba . Sneak attack out k2so is a combo and a half.
@@VeiledShotSWU triple "fighters for freedom" is much better tbh, especially with all the red cards the deck runs. If you have the Ackbars I would just run them instead.
@@peytonibarra8992 I'd second Fighters for Freedom - Rebel + Heroism, Saboteur, and can occasionally ping for 1. Applies A LOT of pressure and many of the usual suspects do not trade well into it. If you can hold initiative with Leia, you should be able to get the attack off with it and force your opponent to attack into the Fighters instead of vice versa. There's not much to dislike about this card, especially over something like Steadfast Battalion.
That card is only really good against more controlling decks where you can attack and get the benefit, the problem is that it's 2/2 which means it just dies in basically every other matchup as well as not being a heroism card.

I didnt know that "the King in the North" is playing SWU :D nice and I am loving Leia red, playing around it myself, keep up the good work
My queen
Lol thank you, I knew Ive seen this face somewhere
Thank you Han Snow.
This comment is cursed I love it lol
Used Red Leia last night at the weekly and absolutely crushed it! Thanks for the great deck breakdown
Love to hear it! This deck certainly competes at the top levels.
Great video thank you, subscribed for the ride! May the force be with you.
Would love to see an update to this decklist with Set 2 out now.

@@VeiledShotSWU Good luck whichever way you decide, I love these lower cost alternatives to Bobas and Vaders!
Steadfast just doesn’t seem to belong at all.

@@VeiledShotSWU Steadfast is only viable with ECL and leader entry turn with 5 resources. All other actions are just too slow for it.
Fighters For Freedom, can chip damage and often wins a game for me.
@@lonnyraye Agreed.
People are sleeping on this - I played a version of this at prerelease and it was awesome having initiative the whole game
My favorite part!
Loving red Leia! Attacking with 3 units if you have Leia out and play Rebel Assault is amazing!

If you don’t use Tarkin towns ability , maybe use the 30 health red base ?
Yea, it's a consideration, there are games where Tarkintown is great, and there are games where it does noithing.
Thanks for the video! I am only missing a few cards from this deck to have it in paper.
It's really fun! Hopefully you can open them soon!
My wife is gonna love it!

-1 Wedge Antilles
-1 Steadfast Battallion
Awesome, you deserve more subscribers!
I also love that you put all hyperspace in here haha
Hyperspace is the only card type haha
Wedge is some pretty nice tech with the Attack Pod too.
Yea, attack pod coming in and smacking then readying to smack for 9-10 points of damage is pretty sick.
@@VeiledShotSWU i dont think it works that when. it wouldnt ready twice just the once and you get 1 attack.

@@VeiledShotSWU that would be great if you do
I've been playing leia red also and she's pretty fun though I play, though everytime I do play It, ultimately I REALLY miss ECL

Leia is my favorite deck so far but I hard lose to vader, any advice on the matchup?

What are your thoughts on Zeb Orrelios being a viable replacement over Steadfast Battalion

Oh yea, I've played magic for years! Love this.
Worth adding any upgrade cards to this deck ?
It’s rarely worth adding upgrade cards to most decks. Rare exception are Force decks with lightsabers, or Entrenched in some control decks.

Yea that's the one card that has the most options. You can run Zebs/rogue Squadron/Fighters for Freedom, there are quite a few small variations.
Why play attack pod instead of rogue squadron skirmisher?
Attack Pod readies up which means it can attack the base, the Skirmisher just has ambush which means it can only immediately attack opponents units.
Any thoughts on Ackbar for removal?
Can be really solid, but I find I rather just stick to my plan game one, and then rely on them in the sideboard.
Try Andor with yellow - three falcon, wacko stuff.
Tarkin is amazing. It's why Leia going over Sabine because it's a counter to ECL people realizing
I feel if you wanna Falcon Han is better. Access to Falcon turn one a 6 drop leader and a 7 on 5. Han will be broken by pros I think
Falcon is amazing.

How much would this cost too make ?
I believe this one is around 80-100 although I have not checked the prices in a week or so.
@@VeiledShotSWU ok thanks
I find Steadfast Battalion to be too slow/miss timed from my play testing.
Yea it's the one "awkward" card in the deck for sure.

It also doesn't benefit from any of the rebel or hero interactions in the deck because it is neither white or a rebel.
