I don't agree with your philosophy. It's important to have your own home, no matter how small. One day, rents will go so high that your income will not support it either, and then you might end up on the streets if you get sick or not healthy enough to work to provide the rent payment in your old age. Also, you can leave the house 🏠 for the kids and give them a head start in life, or donate your property to charity for others to benefit from your hard work as sadqa jaria. All you have to keep in mind not to compete with others in acquiring assets. I like you mufti sahab, but Prophet Mohammed did not eat lavish dinners like you do biryani and nihari and badam, rather he restrained himself and deliberately ate very small portions. Seems like you like instant satisfaction that is why you care about food rather than a house. I believe saving for a house teaches us self restraint, and self restraint is key practice to achieve closeness to Allah, sort of like fasting. This Molvi is wrong. My grandfather built a house by saving his income. Although he passed away, that house is still in use and continues to benefit our family, especially for those who cannot afford rent. We sold his other properties, moved abroad, and now living a good life. We couldn't have done this on our own; it all happened thanks to my grandfather properties
