- We first met Nick Grant in Atlanta during our live broadcast during the BET Hip Hop Awards, and were blown away by Grant's bars.
Fast forward to today, we've been continuing to hear his name, so it was only right we invited him to our Sway in the Morning studios for an in-depth interview.
While in-studio we learned some gems about how he maintains his humility and integrity, while balancing the hunger to rap and make a difference. And before we let him do his thing with a live freestyle, we had him break down some lyrics and rap them live.

Someone gave me a bag of CDs and I happened to stumble upon his '88 mixtape. This kid is incredibly talented. Being unfamiliar with his background, I knew he was influenced by 90s hip hop just by listening to his music. It's refreshing to listen to a skilled artist with substance behind his lyrics, two things that are sorely missing in contemporary hip hop. Sending good vibes his way.
