how is it possible that there are people who still click on disliked with content as rich as this? Congratulations teacher, and continue helping people as you are helping me every day.
Honest response. I disliked this video because it states that it teaches "English" What I've seen here is strictly American and would not be understood all too well in England. I feel like the video could have been titled better. I admire the effort though. A couple of noteable examples would be "can I have the check" - is actually spelled cheque and is rarely understood here as a cheque is something that you write out to send money from your bank to the business (not a list dictating what you would need to pay) Her second option is much more of an English expression - I.E the bill. What you are being billed for. "Your resume is impressive" - in English would be "Your CV is impressive" Some people may understand this one but a fair few would be confused by the sentence. Just to stress. This is not hate towards the creator, she has done a great job. I just feel like those who are trying to learn "English" will be mislead by the title.
i'm learning english, i put my native language on hold, to learn faster and better (watching videos and movies in full english), and you help me a lot with your videos, i want to say thank you very much. I love the way you talk, i understand very well what you say.

this a list I found, with most of the common american idioms. + “He/She/They think(s) they’re all that and a bag of chips.” (meaning: talking about someone who has an inflated ego that was showing off) + “on the dot” (meaning: perfect timing) + “Get off my back!” (meaning: stop annoying me or following me) + “You hit the nail (right on) the head.” (meaning: you got something right or correct) + “quitting cold turkey” (meaning: you altogether stop an activity like smoking; usually talking about bad habits) + “Take it with a grain of salt.” (meaning: don’t take it truthfully, it’s not a fact) + “You (must) have a green thumb.” (meaning: someone who loves gardening or someone who has plants that seem to never die) + “Why the long face?” (meaning: you look sad/upset. What’s wrong?) + “head over heels” (meaning: referring to someone deep in love with another) + “Sorry to burst your bubble, but...” (meaning: I don’t mean to ruin your mood with what I’m about to say) + “between a rock and a hard place” (meaning: facing a dilemma, stuck between (usually) 2 decisions that are probably hard) + “knock on wood” (we say this and actually knock on any nearby wood so we won’t “jinx” ourselves: example - “Jenna slipped on ice yesterday. Lord only knows the same’ll/same will happen to me” knocks on wood. Some people just say it, but for me I actually do both) + “Cut to the chase!” (meaning: an impatient response, get to the main point) + “Get back Jack!” (meaning: talking towards something like an animal or person that won’t get out of your way or out of your stuff) + “back to square one” (meaning: having to restart after just working towards something you were hoping to complete) + “f**k off!” (meaning: a harsher version of back off or go away) + “think outside of the box” (meaning: stop trying to think commonly, think more creatively) + “Who cut the cheese?!” (meaning: who farted?!) + “beat around the bush” (meaning: stop stalling what you want to say, just say what you meant to say) + “She (must’ve) woke up on the wrong side of the bed.” (meaning: someone is grumpy, especially in the morning) + “lucky duck/dog” (we say this to someone who got lucky instead of ourselves: example - “What the hell! Sydney stumbled upon 20 dollars just lying on the street and I can barely afford food. Lucky duck/dog!” + “no horseplay” (said to kids to stop playing rough or messing around) + “Cat got your tongue?” (we say this to someone if we ask them a question and they don’t respond very fast or not at all; delayed speaking by more than about 5 or so seconds) + “Over my dead body!” (meaning: I won’t ever let that happen, never gonna/going to happen) + “bite the bullet” (meaning: just do it) + “by the skin of my teeth” (meaning: close call, talking about an event that you barely got away from) + “Guess a leopard can’t change its spots.” (meaning: that person will never change their actions or ways) theres a few more but this is most of them and you can figure out a few more when you hear them with this list.

Excellent explanation. I really understand spoken English watching english lessons as this but when meeting with an English speaker especially native speakers I use to face difficulties. Also I am good in writing but not good in speaking because I listen more than practicing, because nobody to practice with

Alisha you're so impressive. I learned English online with others teachers but with you is different: very clear and intersting! My concern is how can we download this and watch offline?
I always watch videos about phrasal verbs, slangs and idiomatic expressions but when it comes to express myself i used to practice with my economical vocabulary

this a list I found, with most of the common american idioms.
+ “He/She/They think(s) they’re all that and a bag of chips.” (meaning: talking about someone who has an inflated ego that was showing off)
+ “on the dot” (meaning: perfect timing)
+ “Get off my back!” (meaning: stop annoying me or following me)
+ “You hit the nail (right on) the head.” (meaning: you got something right or correct)
+ “quitting cold turkey” (meaning: you altogether stop an activity like smoking; usually talking about bad habits)
+ “Take it with a grain of salt.” (meaning: don’t take it truthfully, it’s not a fact)
+ “You (must) have a green thumb.” (meaning: someone who loves gardening or someone who has plants that seem to never die)
+ “Why the long face?” (meaning: you look sad/upset. What’s wrong?)
+ “head over heels” (meaning: referring to someone deep in love with another)
+ “Sorry to burst your bubble, but...” (meaning: I don’t mean to ruin your mood with what I’m about to say)
+ “between a rock and a hard place” (meaning: facing a dilemma, stuck between (usually) 2 decisions that are probably hard)
+ “knock on wood” (we say this and actually knock on any nearby wood so we won’t “jinx” ourselves: example - “Jenna slipped on ice yesterday. Lord only knows the same’ll/same will happen to me” knocks on wood. Some people just say it, but for me I actually do both)
+ “Cut to the chase!” (meaning: an impatient response, get to the main point)

+ “back to square one” (meaning: having to restart after just working towards something you were hoping to complete)
+ “f**k off!” (meaning: a harsher version of back off or go away)
+ “think outside of the box” (meaning: stop trying to think commonly, think more creatively)
+ “Who cut the cheese?!” (meaning: who farted?!)
+ “beat around the bush” (meaning: stop stalling what you want to say, just say what you meant to say)
+ “She (must’ve) woke up on the wrong side of the bed.” (meaning: someone is grumpy, especially in the morning)

+ “no horseplay” (said to kids to stop playing rough or messing around)
+ “Cat got your tongue?” (we say this to someone if we ask them a question and they don’t respond very fast or not at all; delayed speaking by more than about 5 or so seconds)
+ “Over my dead body!” (meaning: I won’t ever let that happen, never gonna/going to happen)

I’m dancing. I’m learning. I’m visiting. I’m buying. Etc. You’re doing great so far, keep it up!

Thank you for your teach. I like it. You teach really clearly, understand and useful. I wish that can speak like native speakers.
Don't worry about being able to speak like a Native speaker most of the time when an American tries to talk to someone whos British it might take a while before they can understand each other.
Try looking into the mirror when you speak English. Just have fun with it..

Alisha you're so impressive. I learned English online with others teachers but with you is different: very clear and intersting! My concern is how can we download this and watch offline?
you could use an external UA-cam downloader or you could use UA-cam premium feature which should allow you to download it without any problems
I always watch videos about phrasal verbs, slangs and idiomatic expressions but when it comes to express myself i used to practice with my economical vocabulary
