Oga. There’s nothing like a powerless Christian. Does not exist. You receive power after the holyspirit is come upon you. You seeking power means you’re not a Christian or a believer. This pastor is exercising his authority in Christ like every knowledgeable Christian can. Now granted it takes knowledge of what one has to be able to walk in the light of it. Just like begging on the streets not knowing there’s a check for me for a million dollars. Hence the scriptures say my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. Not for a lack of power but a lack of knowledge of that power. So if the powerlessness you mean is a lack of knowledge of the power every Christian possesses, then yes I agree with you. But that a Christian should go on a search seeking power after he is born again is a misnomer and not backed by any rightly divided word of truth. Your comment is true. However, the power you referred to here is the power of salvation. There are 5 words for power in the scriptures: Ischus, dunamis, exousia, energia kratos. All of then have their different dynamics of operation. It is not automatic that every Christian operates in all 5 dimensions even though that is desired. There's always a price to pay in terms of consecration etc to operate in the power gift.
