He was doing a club appearance in my city and after he performed he was just wandering the club on his own, while all his friends were in VIP. We ended up chatting to him and he was really lovely and so humble. I always remember that. I've really loved seeing how his evolved from that little yout
Chip really was the guinea pig he took The stones of crossing over genres years back , and now artists aspire to make the crossover , but back then it was almost seen as betrayal not progression , And he a major player in uk music becoming what it is today!
American here, first heard of Chip late last year when Stormzy pulled up to his house and he dropped “Flowers,” & “Killer MC,” and have dug through lots of his discography/catalogue since...prefer him over ALL these younger generation rappers on this side of the pond (especially “mumble/trap/SoundCloud” rappers)...I really hope he attempts more stuff over here again someday because things have changed since his first attempt stateside and the independent scene is even bigger!!

Chip is my favourite artist, not mc but artist. He can put a tune together and he has bars. He has some cold mixtape and albums. Not many people love music like chip. You can tell he has real passion. I wasn't feeling that transition album but at the time I was mostly listening to man from Midlands, like Notts and brum. The time I feel Midlands kept grime alive (video idea?) but then again I think logan sama had his after hours show at the time and London man was going in. Anyway big up chip and big up you for the vids. Put together nicely

chip never lived in tottenham he lived ina housing estate in greenlanes and then moved to enfield somehwere when we was in college. he did hang out in schotland green and npk alot but was never from their. I grew up with him around me went to college with him and used the same studios as him in my younger years. but he progressed done his thing I moved on to a normal life.
