Tobey’s “cringe” is what made him the best Spider-Man to me. His character felt the most natural of the 3.
Same he’s the best Peter Parker and best Spiderman
except for the part that a near 30yr old is playing a 17 yr old character
@JTOmaha no, duh dude, that's why they call it acting. And tobey was perfect for the role at the time nobody is high school looked their age I don't know what school you went to where everyone who was 17 looked 17 looking much older is natural in society.
Nailed it. Effing nailed it. When he's got that poop face holding back the train? He's like one of us would be if we were superheroes...maybe not looking the best while we're doing it, but doing it nonetheless.
Definitely & we can see he can switch up , when he becomes billy maguire in #3 he was all arrogant & had more confidence
I think this song works so well with Spider-Man 2 because at his core, Peter Parker is one of the most emotionally vulnerable characters in Marvel.
I like this song, but he will always be the voice of Further Seems Forever to me.
funny that u guys say that, spider-man 2 is (cringe) when probably, most likely the best marvel superhero movie that has came out. superb character development (maybe you're bored by that and maybe you are only excited by flashy lights) but thats ok. I'm not the biggest fan of dashboard but broaden your taste. overall interesting close minded take i appreciate this video. side note: marvel clearly had catered to the , "small minded" but little attention spanned people like yourselves. you mention physics on a superhero clip as if you expect anything else. the girl here clearly has little to no real life experience to talk about what mj has been going through, literal sped.
Amen
People underestimate the importance of Dashboard Confessional honestly. He was the Godfather of 'Emo' before everyone started grouping any pop-punk band into 'emo'. DC was REQUIRED listening to get laid in college in the early 2000's. He also worked with Dave Grahl, and a ton of other popular musicians. Also this song was written FOR spiderman 2. Chris said he'd write the song for free if he could see it before release. He watched it, threw away the song he had written and wrote this one in the next 24hrs. ❤
In terms of Spider-Man that’s a hard disagree for me. The original trilogy is still the best and I was never really a fan of Andrew’s especially with what they did to the Rhino at the end of 2. Tom’s is maybe the most accurate but he’s second to Tobey for me still. Also as far as the Peter MJ situation MJ was just an awesome person for the most part. Peter was trying to balance being Spider-Man and his personal life. Only time I can say Peter fucked up was kissing Betty.
Chris wrote the song immediately after seeing the movie. It resonated with him and honestly, you can’t trust people who don’t vibe with Spidey; he’s universally appealing.
This song brings me back when I saw Spider-Man 2 in theaters with my dad when I was 6.
"O boi yeh", you got so many things wrong in this video 🤣. Firstly, not the right music video for Vindicated, there is one with the band and clips from Spider-Man 2. The singer, Chris Carrabba, is from Connecticut, he was definitely not rich, he only had his mum, who was an English teacher and played Piano. He also worked for the rich cleaning their boats n'shit. He became the singer of Further Seems Forever and then his girlfriend cheated on him or something, he started living in a van and wrote a bunch of breakup songs. He recorded the songs with his friend Amy in a guest bedroom in one night and called in " The Swiss Army Romance", although it was a solo project from FSF, he called it "Dashboard Confessional" after the lyric "on the way home, this car hears my confessions...". It was also all acoustic. Next thing yanno, Napster became a thing and people were listening to Swiss army, he then left FSF and toured just himself, eventually got a few members to form a band. He recorded his second album "the places you have come to fear the most", which was the most illegally downloaded album of 2002. He got an MTV unplugged and after he released the "So impossible" EP which has his biggest hit "Hands Down". He then got picked to be on the Spider-Man 2 soundtrack, but his song was not going to be in the film, they then let him watch the film and a few weeks later, he had something going on in his own life and he wrote Vindicated in like 15 minutes and felt it went well with Spider-Man 2 as he related with what Peter Parker was going through. He sent the song even though the film was going to come out in like a month, next thing yanno, it's the single, he has to record a music video n'everything ASAP. Dashboard started of mainly just one guy and all acoustic, but then it got electric with the bigger records and Spider-man, but his latest album is all acoustic too. To me he's basically Emo Bob Dylan. I probably got a few things wrong in there and apologies for the long comment, it will help me fall asleep, goodnight 🤘😎.
Hope all is well with you guys, been awhile.
Creeping in to suggest the new Linda Linda's track, "talking to myself." The youngest, Mila (on drums), sings it.
Toby will forever be my spider man
New subscriber boys, very good videos, I've seen the Alesana that's my favorite band, I'm still 11 years old and I like that video and others I saw.
This song made me thing that I would love if you guys reacted to The spill canvas!
Was also just watching Netflix daredevil and there is a falling catch like that to and everyone aside from Andrew Garfield caught them then caught something or spun a web. Haha
The Netflix daredevil was so good too!
You guys keep calling Dashboard Confessional an emo band but they're not, they were early/mid 00s alternative rock.
I ❤ tobey.. my fav Spidey and Peter
I grew up in Florida so I saw him play in local punk bands back in the 90s.
Big cap tobey is the best Spider-Man and dashboard I’d amazing this song is amazing 😂
Pause it one more time! I dare you!
Tom sucks. Tobey rules!
She like I is very into it
The web didn’t snap Gwen’s neck like the comics. She hit her head on the ground. The webbing itself is elastic enough to withstand the fall. Bungee jumping is a thing. It’d be very similar.
The entire soundtrack to this movie was amazing in my opinion.
It's probably, because Dashboard Confessional more so fell into the category of alternative rock and not as much emo.
11:30 very untrue , she was the one that was getting too many chances …let me elaborate , she apparently , started going out wit this other guy Js because Peter ain’t tell her he loved her , when he really couldn’t love her because of his powers & how she would always be endangered 🖤
Was the song picked for the movie or was the movie changed to fit the song. They do seem to go together but not a fan of the song.
Movie was made first. Then came the song.
This song just screams spider man
Andrew was awful and Holland is a premature spiderman, these guys aren't fit for it. Tobey is still the best because he didn't need gadgets for his webs and he was the original. Holland and Garfield will never measure up
Disagree on Andrew, agree on Tom. Tom made Peter Parker feel too young especially compared to the comics.
When I read the title of the video, I was so confused. But after watching, 100%, perfect description 😂
Okay, y’all listened to an okay song by them. Please react to either “turpentine chaser” or “this bitter pill”. They are two of their more passion infused songs.
I just rewatched all the Tobey Mcquire and Andrew Garfield with my wife to and we had a very similar conversation. I feel like these used to be better. Dashboard hits are still good throwbacks even nowadays but it is just not for everyone. :)
its okay, us dashboard fans we will continue listening to good emo music while haters will listen to nickelback emo music.
The songs from Nickelback aren’t bad. Don’t confuse the art with the artist. Chad Kroeger is a douche but that doesn’t mean the music is bad. Check yourself next time.
What's "cringe" here is you not watching the actual music video.
Also, you clearly don't know anything about Spider-Man.
If Spider-Man 2 is really so "cringe", then why did they bring back Doc Oc and Tobey in Spider-Man: No Way Home?
It's still the best spider man film.
Wrong M/V so sad...
Damn they don’t know anything about Spider-Man 😂😂😂 wtfff why y’all review this I’m younger than y’all and know tobey is the original and the goat
This reaction is extremely cringe. First of all, why are you discussing Spiderman? 2nd of all, you dont understand what make's the movies good...smmfh
Tom Holland sucks
