The last time I remember Florida having both a high-quality veteran and a heralded freshman in the QB room, a deep running back room, and shaky special teams (4-for-13 on FG's going into the bowl game) was 2006. 2006 was a pretty good year for the Gators.
youre forgetting one major key piece in your comparison... Defense. Florida's defense in the mid 2000's set a standard and expectation that only elite defenses will be tolerated in Gainesville. I want the gators to be back on top just as much as the rest of our fanbase but the defense needs to make major improvements if we want to have a chance at 7/8 solid wins. GO GATORS
Pate: Who are the Philosopher coaches of big programs? Aranda, Napier, Sweeney? Coaches who emphasize an ideology or personal belief system that outshines the X’s and O’s strategy…..
All this talk about QB. What about Floridas “Bum Knee” last season, the OL. That’s about all I was focused on during the SG. I did see more speed and intensity and one EasterEgg. We had a third Center Snapping the ball. #60, who is he? A transfer?
