For everyone saying that they look like the belgian warmblood; yes they do look a like because they are a look a like irl to. They almost come from the same bloodline so i think sso did a great job and its not weird that they look similar because if they changed the dutch warmblood a lot from the belgian ones, it would not be right
Yeah it bugs me a little when people complain about some horses in Star stable looking the same, like the Haflinger and Dartmoor for example. But in reality, most horses look very similar, if not, almost identical to each other lol
Everything you’ve said is spot on. All warmbloods these days are a mishmash of different studbooks. But the thing is, the Belgian and the Dutch in SSO don’t really look alike at all. I’m really pleased that they’ve made the Belgian a showjumping model, and the Dutch a dressage model. The distinction is VERY clear! Job well done! 👍

This horse made me play sso again By the way, these horses look like they do high level dressage and that stuff so thats why they're canter/gallop looks like that, its meant to be an extended canter I think, thats also why they look stressed and why they're have a square stand
i absolutely love them! been waiting for the update for so long. dutch warmbloods are completely my whole world and so happy with coat colours too especially the grey and liver, i do wish the black had more character to it or looked like totilas a bit but the bay also looks like hickstead. so happy with sso on this one!

SSO did a very good job executing the KWPN models from the realism down to the gaits. I would be more serious about getting one if SSO were to incorporate an actual dressage component into their game. These horses were clearly designed specifically with dressage in mind. The KWPN’s, notwithstanding their beauty, just don’t look like they were made for SSO’s main activities: racing and jumping. I hope they add dressage in the future as that would give me an incentive to purchase one of these beauties! If I had to choose one, I’d go for the dark bay, hands down. The color is so rich and beautiful, and those dapples are phenomenal! 😍
What I love the most is how SSO clearly did their research on proper head carriage in dressage and the extended trot. All too often, we see hyperflexion and disengaged extended trots being rewarded in FEI dressage. Here, there's no hyperflexion - the horse is being ridden either on or above the vertical - and the extended trot is actually engaged! It's not perfect but it's so much closer to perfection than a lot of grand-prix dressage tests we see today (sadly). So glad to see SSO taking a stance on this since I was very worried about having a Totilas clone being added to the game :')
I saw these and I have no words...they are phenomenal. I was wow-ing at every coat. This is the most gorgeous horse sso ever released/will release! The gaits could do some refinement but I don't even mind.

In Germany the dutch warmblood is also called kwpn & i really hope that sso will make a coat variation of Valegro & Totilas (2 World Record setting Dressage Horses) These 2 achieved so much.. they deserve a place in the game! Something I like about the animations for this and why the neck looks on the "stiff side" is that the horse is moving collected! For irl non-riders, a collected horse is a horse that is moving the "proper way" when you ride it. In this case, it's collected in an English riding way. The neck is arched, poll is flex, back raised and carrying itself properly. The APH is my favorite for western collection with the head hanging down comfortably, back raised up and carrying itself, and hocks swinging. Collection looks different In different disciplines, but overall achieves the same goal: using its body in the way that it's most healthy long term to carry its rider. An analogy I like to use is that sitting up is better (healthier) r for the human body than it is to slouch, but its harder to perform. Collection is also hard for a horse to perform but its better for them than having their head up in the air and back hollowed out, not truly supporting the weight on their back.
Although, collection should not make the horse seem stiff anywhere. They should still be moving freely and relaxed, so the way that these horses look a bit stiff or tense is not really desirable! But, of course, that is what most dressage horses look like today, so it was reflected in how SSO made them… a little sad to me, but I still think SSO did great with these horses! They’ve come a longgg way recently.

Ye it sure does look like a prince horse, the grey horses always give that vibe. Im definitely gonna get the seal bay or the grey one. The liver chestnut reminds me a bit too much of the lusitano coat we have in game. I'm happy for u Denis that u get to have your new mascot soon. Who knows... maybe we're going to get even more coats for them just like with the belgian warmbloods. 😳
The grey looks exactly like my grey horse currently does! Well almost, mine has more fleabitten marks and is actually a Tennessee Walker BUT I saw that coat and immediately knew I needed him!! It is not a steel grey btw, he is just a gorgeous gorgeous light dapple grey.
They really went for the modern dressage horse look! Which is alright, but the reason the trot looks a bit funky is because the hindquarters don’t seem to be matching the forelegs in engagement. This is common to see in modern dressage, and it’s honestly a problem because it means the horse isn’t properly engaging the hindquarters. The same thing happens in the extended trot that they animated, the flicking of the toes is actually quite incorrect as it means the horse is on the forehand. The piaffe (special move) also is not correct, the horse doesn’t sit on the haunches. It makes me a little sad to see how these parts of modern dressage are reflected in how these horses were made, since these are not really good example of dressage. The walk and trot look tense instead of relaxed and flowy. It’s just interesting how this has become the standard for dressage, I’m not hating on SSO by any means! They did great on these horses and I’ll definitely be buying them lol.
I agree, its rather unfortunate that modern judging endorses this type of riding so much that nearly everyone accepts it as the norm. And even worse that SSO models the animations based off of incorrect ( albeit popular) riding/training, because now little kids who play this game will assume that's how a dressage horse moves/should move.. At top level competition the judging is often so biased and incorrect that it's rather depressing. I saw more correct and fair judging at a local show grounds then at international competitions. But after all its just a horse game I suppose.
I really appreciate that these horses feel like jumpers, not hunters. Like they don't have that flawless bascule (jump form) of a high-level hunter but they still have a killer/athletic jump. Their gaits are stunning, not too fussed over the gallop though. The horses look stunning overall! Not cartoonish (or as I call it: insulting, haha), very good representations of the breeds, and good coat colors. I wish we got a flaxen chestnut/liver chestnut (I'm a sucker for the blondes) but I really have no other complaints! Let's hope they actually show up in game looking like the spoilers, haha
I'm not the biggest fan of them ngl but if they do end up growing on me imma get the crimelo. What I do love about these horses is the idle of them looking around. The horse just looks so alert

I’m pretty sure they wanted the horse to look like it was on the big so that’s why the neck is so stiff. I wish it did a have a small amount of movement tho. As a dressage rider these are rlly good horses in my opinion 😍
It really wouldn’t fit with the vibe of the game though. The games based on fantasy. Unless you want to completely ignore the main story line. Making it too realistic, wouldn’t fit
I am leaning towards one out of the many. There so many to choose like the black, cremello, and maybe the liver chestnut for variety in my stable. I would wait until I see other reviews to decide on them and their release.
We also need to remember that SSO stated that they're designing the Dutch Warmblood to be a top-dressage horse. That's the reasoning behind the flashy animations, special animations and meh jump
@@xzx4166 I think they made this a dressage oriented model is because otherwise people would complain too much that the KWPN and the BWP look too similar ( which they do in irl anyways but I digress) but irl the BWP was bred to be more show jumping oriented though they do well in dressage and eventing too. So it would make the breed modelled off of one of the breeding directions, especially since the KWPN has four breeding lines ( riding horse ( show jumping, dressage), harness, and the gelder horse.
@@artandanimation4119 still they could make the KWPN look different by going for a more lean build (closer to what you’d see in Eventing) as there quite a lot of KWPNs built like that, even in the jumping lines

ok i hate how star stable does this with their horses but like when they jump they start running again before they fully land on the ground, like i don’t know if that makes sense but i just wish they put more time into like fixing that
I’ve said this on the comments on their channel and Instagram. I will say it here, I can’t say I like them and I can’t say I don’t like them. They aren’t really good nor bad I just lean towards disliking. All I can hope for is the Ardennes will be good! They give off lucitono looks? I even asked why they look like the lucy when I watched it.

They did show us and told us the belgian warmblood would buck. I dont believe this until i see it in game. Another thing: this horse makes me hate the new characters more, bc most of us are adult players, now on characters where the boot hits barely under the saddle, which is equal to 7/8 yo human.

@@artandanimation4119 still they could make the KWPN look different by going for a more lean build (closer to what you’d see in Eventing) as there quite a lot of KWPNs built like that, even in the jumping lines
Yeah, I can understand that statement. However I think they did this because they based the Belgian on high level showjumping. Personally, I don't really like the Belgian warmblood, so I'm looking forward to getting another warmblood horse that I definitely like way more, even though it's dressage!

All I can say is THE BIGGEST WOW. Those horses look literally amazing. Only horse I can compare to this is Belgian Warmblood which is my favourite, BUT THIS.. WOWWWWW. I have to play sso again 😭
I absolutely love them: i will for sure buy one right of the update (i only have sc for one at the moment ) But i have on my list the steel grey, seal bay , liver chestnut and the cremello.

I’ve said this on the comments on their channel and Instagram. I will say it here, I can’t say I like them and I can’t say I don’t like them. They aren’t really good nor bad I just lean towards disliking. All I can hope for is the Ardennes will be good! They give off lucitono looks? I even asked why they look like the lucy when I watched it.

They did show us and told us the belgian warmblood would buck. I dont believe this until i see it in game. Another thing: this horse makes me hate the new characters more, bc most of us are adult players, now on characters where the boot hits barely under the saddle, which is equal to 7/8 yo human.
