Out of all the bosses, all the enemies. Minos. He bleeds with the blood of his own people. He is a Prime Soul because of his strife. *And he won't hesitate against his enemies anymore.*
When the safety, happiness, and freedom of your people is threatened and pacifism fails to quell your enemies, sometimes you just have to throw fists. Hesitation is defeat when the enemy shows no mercy.
He is ONE with the people. His righteous hand, showing his fair judgement. His big heart signifies the passion and love he has for his people. His transparent body shows that he is without corruption, the righteous judge. The crown shows that he was elected for and by the people. He has no face, because he doesn't need fame. Upon dying, he doesn't fear death but rather his failure to save his people.
@@normi9033 His crown also looks like the City of Lust, the city that he and his people built. In a way, putting his people above himself, signifying selflessness.
this video literally has thee BEST usage of the requiem leitmotif i have ever seen, the calm and peaceful regal orchestrated bit representing minos at his prime (badum pshh), when he and the lust layer had it all instantly transitioning over to the fast paced hard-hitting version of the requiem leitmotif that represents minos’ yearn to beat you and to avenge his layer and the whole of humanity, minos blistering with rage and that choir bit at the end was a really nice touch too this is a 10/10
Not a fan of it, the creccendo before gave me expectations for an absolutely perfect drop, and then sad strings moment, id prefer if the requiem leitmotif repeated twice (like the og song)
I freaking love the last layer part of this song in general. It just sounds so perfect for a fight like this and makes you think on what you have gotten into
@@megustalapizzaxd2463 For me its just the staccato, feels a little goofy, would have just preferred if it was just the basic chords drawn out on piano
I *have* to say, the combination of King Minos's death-cry with the tonal-descent of the whole piece was masterfully done. The entire cover is a lovely take, and I loved every moment of it!
Overlapping the defeat monologue with the beat drop really changes it's context. Almost like he had been dealt a soon fatal but non crippling blow, and while he knew his time was short, he would burn twice as bright in his last moments. And then cue the second boss phase
THIS IS REALLY GOOD, the guitar sounding like it's barely holding on to its strings with the melody of minos gives it so much more power in terms of conveying the emotional depth that his melody has. The music switching to a swing melody for a brief moment to bring out his ending is such a good usage of such. This has brought me to tears, this is incredibly done. Love it

the requiem leitmotif goes incredibly hard, great work
2:45 the little innocent sounding flute made such a huge difference
1:10 i literally heard a faint 'Thy end is now!', brilliant.
