I’m currently day two post op. from upper and lower blephs. So far its going to plan. I can actually see a slight improvement even from yesterday. And pleased to say I am having no problems closing my eyes. I’m sure I had an excellent surgeon here in the UK.
Hi I just had my one in London yesterday and is my second day but my face is swelling and I look like Rocky Balboa...I am putting ice sometimes during day...I can close eyes completely but I cannot open completely bcz maybe swelling...they told me to take amoxicillin for 7 days to avoid infection... did anyone take this too,,?
@@julitawise921 My procedure was for upper and lower under general anaesthetic. I work with the surgeon so he gave me a very good price. But I think you can expect to pay somewhere between £6k-£8k? That should cover surgeon’s fee, anaesthetist fee and hospital costs (which involves theatre time, consumables, equipment, staffing and hospitality). Hospital fees will probably be the largest part of the overall fee. What is very important is that you have confidence in your surgeon and your anaesthetist. So it is very worthwhile doing plenty of research. What is also important to note is that depending on the extent of the ‘issue’, blephs can have a significant effect on function as well as appearance. IE, I now have better peripheral vision. Its more comfortable as much of the weight has gone, which is something I hadn’t realised, and I am now at less risk of entropion as I age. For me it has definitely been a success. Good luck. If you should feel comfortable supplying details I can show you before and after pics and give you the name of my surgeon.
Blephoraplasty gave me dry eye syndrome. Not with this doctor. But people should know it's a risk and a terrible condition to live with . Very expensive to treat as well. Def not worth it.
I'm sorry to hear that. How are you managing? I've spent thousands of dollars on treatments and still need drops every two hours plus eyelid wipes, spray, creams, and tape on my lids when I sleep at night because they don't close completely. I'm buying a red light next. Wore welding goggles to a concert the other night to help with the humidity. This is not exactly the look I was going for when I got the surgery, lol.
@@talksick508 thanks for asking. I had upper and lower eyelid surgery in Mexico one year ago. He cut off too much skin (although he denies it and takes no responsibility). My eyelids don't close entirely and I have to sleep with tape on them so they don't dry out. I wrote a song about it that tells the tragic tale: ua-cam.com/video/dm5w0455uF8/v-deo.htmlsi=JDN0usqR8oDVj5uc
Very handsome doctor👍🏻
You put it in writing, what I was thinking..... :) I am still single ..... but I am sure he is not :)

Okay, but how can we take care of ourselves to maintain results? Heard there are lifestyle factors, like bad posture, that can cause facial asymmetry.
Hey dr,
When can a person fly after doing upper blephroplasty?
Why doesn’t he reply? Please dr we have some questions ❤

So sorry to hear that. It's really terrible to end up as a "rare statistic". I was always lucky and healthy and assumed this wouldn't happen to me. :(
Did you get lower or upper?
