Mum, it's high time you started reacting to African music. We have great music over here
lol agreed😆 I am from Morocco and live in the US.. out of all the music in the world, I choose to hear African music the most without exaggeration! I actually think many Of their talented people are underated and should be promoted in the US and everywhere else in the world because between the talent of video production and the voices I get blown away🥰I listen to her and many other ones every day especially at the gym😍
🗣Repent Israelites all praise to the most high YAHAWAH AND HIS SON YAHAWASHI🤴🏽🦁👑🔥🛸⌛️
The so called black man, Latino, and Native Americans are the Israelites. Yahawah chosen people. That are scattered in all nations through our fathers. Making them Israelite foreigners/Scattered sheep/The multitude
Deuteronomy 28:68
“And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thAee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.

Why??? So, she can give more clueless critiques about the sound of the music? It is not in her wheelhouse
@@blessed3779 you are going through a lot, I pray for you. You should be okay in no time.😍😍 Peace I give you
@@blessed3779so she can learn 💀 about the beauty of African music.
Tems has been around for years. She’s actually been making it big in the United States for the last 2 or 3 years now. Higher was a big song, the version that she did with Drake wasn’t even bigger song, she also had another one called “essence“. She wrote the Rihanna song “lift me up“ that was nominated for an Oscar. I’m sure you heard that one.
The version with Drake was way bigger, it got a billboard Hot 100 number 1
Her voice is beautiful. Her lyrics definitely have a message.
Tems is the Sade of Nigeria. She's fire!
Lol sade is from Nigeria
Sade, Seal and Jacob Banks are all Nigerians .lol
Sade is the Sade of Nigeria 😅
Sade is Nigerian
@@dennisarikan303lol hmm 🤔
You hear the Jamaican accent because most Jamaicans are descendents of Nigerian or West Coast of Africa so you will definitely find similarity in how we speak
I am Nigerian I love temsbaby she is one of the best female artist here in my country ,everyone love her❤
Thank you. She really does have a beautiful and unique voice and I’m glad you appreciated it.
Jamaican ancestors are African so it would make sense that her accent and pronunciation of words can easily translate into reggae.
African American ancestors are African too, as well as many other countries. So that's not valid. Because I don't credit rap to Africa. It's like saying country music is from Europe because white peoples ancestors are from Europe. Geographically, we're on the same side of the globe, so how does that translate as far as influence because all the slaves were stripped of their culture. Slaves were taken from west Africa and distributed around the world, so it's a universal thing.🌎
Her voice almost has a brass-y texture to it and I love how she teeters on the edge of the note
Beautiful. I LOVE her voice. Oh my goodness so smooth.
So glad you're reacting to Tems
Love❤ from Nigeria 🇳🇬
Totally agree, Tara! And yes, tone!! 🙏🏼 Beautiful... such a vibe.
She really gives me Bob Marley vibes. One of my favourite artists right now.
Love Tems ❤ can’t wait to see her @ Coachella!!
This video is really so good! I can very much hear reggae from her. Again, this video is extremely so good! Thank you for uploading this.
It is NOT reggae, it is Afro-Beat……And Tems is NOT Jamaican, she is Nigerian…….SMH 🙄
THIS IS THE MUSIC FUTURE REMIXED AND WON A GRAMMY WITH IT.
I love Tems.
NO OFFENSE..but Tems is the original/authentic/and vocally talented (not to mention makes her own beats/song instrumentals) of what Rihanna was striving to be. Tems is sooo underrated..Pleeeeease react to Tems "ice T , Free mind, Try me" all good songs
I think thats a weird thing to say when Rihanna has been in the game for 15 years longer. You people love reducing people to the product of their pop success, but how long does it take to be vocally talented? surely by now she is. She even has awards for it. Grow up.
@@HeadHuntingHunchobud, you can make it 20 years in the game- has nothing to do with vocal talent.. doesn’t take a genius to know that .. anybody who is vocally trained KNOWS Rihanna LIVE has only RECENTLY got decent in her long run .. I’m not taking credit from no one , next time comment and reply to someone who doesn’t know what there talking about
lol who said that this is what Rihanna was striving for? 😂😂 Tems and Rihanna are literally nothing alike in their work. You should compare Tems to Sade rather but not Rihanna they make two completely different sounds and don’t fit the same market. The only reason you mentioned Rihanna is simply cause they have a similar voice and tone but that’s it. They have nothing else in common. If you listen to Rihanna’s ANTI album then listen to Tems album born in the wild you will see there that they are definitely not the same. Tems is closer to Sade which makes sense because she’s said many times that Sade was her inspiration. Tems makes soul/rnb where as Rihanna is very much pop/rnb. Not the same at all
I have no music training at all, but I listen to music the same way you break this down.... Most people think I am weird, and say I over analyze everything. Music is more than just a rhythm, melody, harmony and a beat..... MUSIC IS LIFE
Great assesment of her voice and song, Thank you. I've been listening to her for years and that song just then brought tears to my eyes, Sooo Beautiful
Tems is a gem .vibes is really good.
You should hear "Tems - No Woman No Cry (From "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Prologue")"... This you will definitely love...
Has anyone heard of tems ?!??? She’s the biggest export from AFRICA right now ? Africa to the world 🌍
Hi Tara, the singer loren Allred has a beautiful voice. Would love you to do a vid on her one of her songs . “ I hear your voice”. It’s beautiful, so haunting & it’s definitely a song that people can relate too..She didn’t get much press from the Greatest showman, but she’s amazing..
Jamaicans are ethnically African, so the accent is very similar. Good observation.
No it's not. Jamaicans are as ethnically African as African Americans, and many of the other countries who received African slaves during the slave trade.
@@geniawright9254true ..
@@geniawright9254 most African Americans are at least 88% African blooded sooooo. I don't know about you but that's a large chunk of DNA
Not quite similar.
@@charlesbarclay8181Thank you, somebody being honest…… the lady critique showed how sonically clueless she is to other versions of R&B
Afro Jamaicans descendants are of Nigerian ancestry..
We are all descendants of west Africa from the slave trade. Means nothing.
The music sound nothing like Jamaica/Raggae…… Typical critique from a person who’s music ear is very limited and underdeveloped…… she described the girls Nigerian accent as being a slurred for crying out loud SMH Most BP can tell the difference between “Caribbean” music and Afro-Beat, etc.
I heard of tens when she did music for marvels black panther 2 movie
Yh that’s right
Hi Tara, I just emailed you asking you to react to Lucy Thomas, just mind blowing. Like PTX her covers are upgrades. Thank you for educating us.
One Love Africa, Drop the love ❤ Nigeria 🇳🇬
Tems is so smooth
It’s been a year and no Pentatonix? They have several new songs that are their best yet. “Kiss From A Rose”, “O Holy Night”, “Please Santa Please”, to name a few..
Love her sound. Can you react to Lawrence - i’m confident that i’m insecure (acoustic-ish), and/or Lawrence - Don't Lose Sight (Acoustic)
Afrobeat 💚
Amazing voice texture
❤️
1:57 you accidentally harmonized with her? it was very nice lol
It does hint that she may have been influenced by Reggae growing up in some capacity. She still has her own unique sound. Outside of Tems, Reggae and African music are completely different. Slaves were stripped of their culture everywhere and came up with their own sounds and cultivated new culture. Same for Jazz, Rap, Soul music, Soca, dancehall, calypso and other music.
But don’t forget, the new cultures were not created out of vacuum.
Love your reaction
Please react to more of her music.
You can react to 'Try me', or 'Mr Rebel'
At mark 3:20 she’s saying “im out chea yea” (im out of here)
3:48 she’s sayin BIG TUNES NOW ITS BIG TUNES IM KILLING
Yay 🙌 pls do her new album
Jamaicans Nigerians are same people almost
Tems is Nigerian
Yea i dont think she caught that at all before reacting to the video lmfao
@@HeadHuntingHuncho Why would you expect a clueless WP to know that……. They think any BP with an accent sounds Jamaican
If u are here September 2024 .. love from Nigeria
Jamaican here. 🇯🇲 I agree. However, I do disagree with a lot of African comments. All the African slaves were taken from west Africa. Including African Americans and Other Caribbean Islands, Barbados, Trinidad etc. We all cultivated our own music and that is not credited to Africa. For Jamaica, before reggae we had what was called 'Ska', which was a culmination of Caribbean mento and calypso with American jazz and rhythm and blues. Geographically we're not close enough to have been influenced and slaves were brought to Jamaica in the 16th century and were not allowed to practice native african music, so that was not passed down by the time reggae was created in the 19th century. Our music began deriving from steelpan drums in the 1880's after the abolition of slavery in 1834 to what you see now. Reggae or dancehall is not credited to Africa, no more than Trinidad creating Soca and Calypso which is big in carnival , or Rap in the USA.
Woww so beautiful! Please check out Dimash's duet with Placido Domingo next!
have you seen the Dimash duet with Placido Domingo?>
Strings 🔥
How about reacting 'Sohyang - Higher(Acoustic)' as the next reaction 😄😄
You can find it on the official Sohyang's UA-cam channel!!
Listen to her discography and Terms and Conditions
Hi beautiful. Are you gonna reach to Dimash and Placido Domingo singing the Pearl Fisher's aria? Please 🙏
2:30 girl…enough😭
If clueless was a person SMH
Pls, react to Dan Vasc, another Brazilian singer and composer who sings everything from opera to heavy power metal. He's fantastic too and you can start with Amazing Grace, Evanescence, Nightwish, Adele, his operas Gethsemane Jesus Christ Superstar, The Music of the Night, Nessum Dorma Pavarotti, tks
Hello, I have a request. Could you please show me how to sing "I'm Here" from The Color Purple, Cynthia Erivo's version? Additionally, for the high notes or belts, could you provide a moderate version of the high note or belt? I am able to project my voice, hold my breath for a while, and belt on some songs, but there is something about the high notes in this song that is challenging for me. I am not sure if she is mixing or doing something else. Thank you.
Jamaican got influence from African music which would explain the reggae vibe too
Rona Nishliu - "Suus" reaction please🙏
react to more of tom ball, i promise you will not be dissapointed, do the thing you did with the sound of silence but creep
Girl you are a vibe come smoke a l with da kid
When did being clueless become having a vibe???
Can you review tems live performance titled burning 🥰
Plllls can u do réaction for Song So Hee - Spring Day 😢😢 it's soooo goood
Her voice is okay, but her application is what's so fire imo.
Id love to see you react Rod Wave Boys Don't cry acoustic

Ma’am…your assessment is limited, no disrespect but this…THIS RIGHT HERE…is greater than America’s opinion…but you have your rights too
Typical culturally clueless ⚪️ person SMH
Do you take requests? If so can you pretty please listen to these two covers: Babymonster Ahyeon - Dangerously and Babymonster Haram - Pick up your feelings.

Tems😈🔥💯
Imagine being late to a party and asking people at the party “Did you know there was a party?”…….. This music is clearly out of her scope to be critiquing or giving a review…….She called the girls Nigerian accent slurred words and then said it was Jamaican…… all accents sound Jamaican to ⚪️ people SMH
Reaction to rod wave boyz don't cry
@Tara.. I love Tems voice and cool style but nearly gave up on her when I heard "Not An Angel" on Billboard show and "WILD..." on Jimmy Fallon (her live band was 💯💥🔥). I watched your video now to see what's up but this performance is great. Are the other songs the wrong key/ range for her voice or what???
Please react to James Arthur - Train Wreck (Acoustic) #AtHome #WithMe ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Both Nigeria and Jamaica were colonized by the British.
React to Shaya Zamora, the song's name is Cigarette, PLEASE!
Yeah it’s due to her accent, her accent is strong. tho I don’t feel it’s gotta be overanalyzed like this, it’s almost nitpicky and kind of condescending.
for me the whole point is she’s singing from the heart, right? So this technicality should be forgone in lieu of artistic interpretation
She is not nitpicky…… she is serious….. She sounds like the typical WP who is culturally clueless……And you know she is clueless because most people could clearly hear Tems is singing with an accent even if you don’t know what the accent is, but this lady described it at first as her singing with “slurred words” SMH
React to Try me by Tems it’s one of her better vocal performances
It's the accent. Not Jamaican
Then u live under a rock🙄
I don't like you trying to give us an audio replay of her voice. It makes me cringe. Too much of your formal training comes thru, and throws the shyt off.
Tems has nothing special, other than her African accent. The really special singer is Dimash. You can't say they both make and sing great music. It would be like comparing your present appearance with the photo from 30 years ago in the banner of your channel.
"Tems has nothing special other than her African accent" I don't understand lol. This is like saying Beyonce has nothing special other than her voice🙄.
@@victory4333 It is not my problem that you have a low capacity of understanding. Accent is not voice, genius. Classical sophism. Nice try.
🙄
girl get out
Without tems this beautiful song wouldn’t exist. How about instead of comparing artists we just appreciate what each singer has to offer 💗
Please tara could you react to southafricans?
Great insight
