They are a perfect match ! I’m so eternally glad and thankful to Nijisanji gods that Millie and Enna got into Ethyria together and now we get to experience their amazing stories of friendship and watch them have fun together with other girls. 🥺🙏
I have a best friend in highschool, we can sit for hours talking about absolutely anything. Really close friend, often share secrets and trust each other. In terms of money and splitting bills, we always like, "Yo, I will pay my portion later, just pay for me first so it's easier." and then proceed to pay *the exact amount* of money depending on what each of us had. That's how you split 😌
The only way to split it is to agree up front, and know the people you’re going out with. If you don’t feel comfortable saying “sorry, I can’t split it” then they aren’t the type of friends you should be in that situation with.
I found this story really sweet and really interesting. To put it in perspective most if not all my food experiences have been we'd either pay for what we ordered or one person (and we'd all do this and not the same person each time) would go this'll be my shout.
Millie : "woah woah woah... Eating here was your idea and suggestion..." I would rather have no, or few friends. Than be sorrounded with fake ones. Glad that Millie left them behind.
Yeah, that's why I always pay for the stuff I ordered if I did it without someone's consent. I like to hit the ramen shops with my mates, and I always add on takoyaki, gyoza and karaage, but that's just cos I wanna eat those, so I just paid for those, and shared them with mates. I refuse to take payment for it simply because I ordered them without asking. Nice to see that Enna and Millie are so tight
I miss my friends while watching this clip. Because most of us are introverts, what we usually do is dine out and have sleepovers with movie marathons right after. I'm at my most comfortable when with them. Kinda sucks covid had to happen.
I was that way back in high school. Eating and having sleepovers with my closest friends. Then I went to college and got a job and everything has gone to shit. Haven't talked to a single person who isn't family or my supervisor in 5 years. Hahaha...ha...
@@BknMoonStudios I'm sorry to hear that. Same here, me and my highschool friends drifted apart. The few friends I have are those whom I have met in college. Tbh, I haven't had a new friend eversince I graduated as my job eats most of my time. Hahaha living an adult life is really disorienting and it downright sucks. But there will always be better days ahead. I hope you'll be able to forge new friendships in the future.
I felt that, had some friends who even called me over to hang out and later find out I had to be the one shouldering the bill, and that friend acts like the tour guide who showed me stuff and I had to literally pay for everything 😅 I rarely hang out let alone be called in to hang out so I was happy at first. Glad I met those who really just homies not robbers.
Kudos to the people like Millie and Enna who only support friendships that actually foster respect to one's kindness and financial capability (ex. "No, don't bother bro/sis, I gotchu w/ this-just have my back next time")
That's why it's important to know how you'll be handling the bill before you order. Every time that shit comes up and you see people sweating it's like, "Yo... if you can't afford this life then why are we here?"
I can relate to their story and I know how vexing it is when someone says "Let's split the bills!" and you only ordered around 15$ or less worth of food when the bill is around $150 or higher. Fun fact: Filipinos loves eating expensive food in most occasions although they're actually frugal. Hobo Tip: Suggest Samgyup instead cause everyone will pay for their portion and the one who says "they have no money" will be treated by everyone. happens everytime I invite my friends, one or 2 people will say they have no money so everyone will pitch for their portion.
Yeah, that also happens a lot in my country. But we do that before eating. Like "we are going to split or not?" And if someone doesnt want to split after that we just not count that person in the math, like we take the bill, extract what that person is going to eat and split that. Doing that we allready know how can and can not pay and we organize with that in mind. But with certain things like pizza or empanadas we allways split.
Makes me glad my friends and I have an understanding that we all pay for what you ordered, or as close as reasonable to it. Someone could offer to pay for the whole bill at the end of the occasion to make it easier for the waiting staff to sort out, but you're definitely going to bank transfer what you owe later or you're breaking the rule.
Not cool at all. Friends that always take advantage of you, you gotta dip out of there. It would not matter much if it's a small amount but if someone had to go on a noodle trip for two weeks because of it then see how our witch of calamity remembers how much her food cost actually and how much she paid in the end. That is such a strong memory and not a good one.
The cleanest solution I've done for settling unbalanced lunch/dinner bills is the Credit Card Game. Basically, those participating put their credit cards in a pool that is shuffled and one is selected randomly. That person pays for everyone. First and foremost, you can just opt out if you wanna pay for your own food, which is great because they're taking responsibility for their portion and lightening the punishment on the person who loses the Game. If my card doesn't get selected... yay, free meal! Who **doesn't** like free food?! If my card does get selected... I don't mind treating my friends to a meal every now and then. I used to be in a MTG group of 9-10 people eating out every week and trying to split the bill to even approximately proportional amounts was a nightmare. Doing it this way was so much simpler, and the suspense was always quite fun.
For me, it's more like, "Screw pressure and dignity. I don't have money, so if you invite me, either treat me, or just allow me to just sit there and not order anything".
Take care everyone, if you're hanging out (with friend or whoever it is) and they want to eat good with your money, they can just ask first to borrow/use ur money instead telling you to split the bill at the end.
See if it's like a couple bucks disparity between dishes, I don't mind splitting, I'm not going to be fussy about a couple of euros. But when someone has clearly gotten less than the rest and you demand they pay the full split then you are the friend in the group that no one likes.
I don’t get splitting the bill. Me and my friends (some ex’s lmao) always calculate our individual shares and we pool it for the exact amount. There were a lot of times though where one of us would be off a few pesos or would pay rounded-off so we get change or lack a few and we debate on the table about the receipt lmao
Thank god none of my friend were like that, and if they were I would cut relationship right after When we eat we always pay for ourselves unless you are extremely rich and want to treat other and state it before we go to the restaurant or if it was someone else birthday and they state it from the beginning that they will be paying. Other than that we always count the bill and pay what we eat. Of course once you work it is a lot more flexible but even then unless someone state it upfront the bill will be paid fairly.
When eating in a restaurant, in a fast-food chain, or in other food stalls we're always paying for the food we ate, unless you'll be treated by your friends. When bonding time like happy or session time, all of us gave money (any amount) or if they don't have, it's not a problem at all, but "huwag mong gawing kanin ang aming pulutan" haha
really tho as an asian person, you need to leave people like that who pressures you to buy shit you didn't want to buy. Parents gotta get my ass and be like "Pota ka nanaman, kaya wla kang pang tuition mo eh tarantado ka!" while holding etiher a tambo stick, slippers, or a belt.
If I were in their position, I'd probably say no immediately. And if the others still insist, I'd probably just put my money on the table and leave lol. That type of people would ruin the night for me.
like bro 20$ worth of food is like about 2 weeks of food in the fridge depends on where you buy tho (here in the Philippines) i cant imagine someone paying 80$ worth of food like damn
that also happened to me, and one of the people eatin with me suggested to split the bill, i fuckin said no immediately, I ate like $12 worth of shit and the bill was $200 for 8 people, I wouldve paid $13 more if I agreed, fuck that, Ill pay for the shit I ate,
When I hang out with the boys.. we pay what we can pay and if someone couldn't then we cover for them.. but it's an unspoken rule that they should try to make it up (if they can) on the next hangout.. we just chill, drink and talk a alot of s#!t anyways xD
I only ate out with my friends if they treated me and holy shit I just realized that they were such good friends. They knew I was an introvert that would never go out of my cave unless they baited me with something. Haven't talked to them since graduation 5 years ago cause life 😢 (and I'm still an introvert)
As a German I don't get the whole splitting (amount/people stuff) at all if you order you pay for it. If you do want to pay the whole you say zusammen. But that is more for couples or falimily. Or if you are invited beforehand hääää? Atleast over here if you are invited, like really invited (Einladung) don't expect to pay anything.
Still cant understand people who made their friend pay for them & tbh i prefer if i just lent them money then they pay me later. heck i always get anxiety if i had to borrow money ww
It's best to split the bill and not have one person pay for it all Like why would someone take you out for lunch just for you to buy $75 of food and everyone else got $25 each The one who gets the most expensive meal should pay for theirs and everyone else pays theirs
doesn’t apply to me and my friends 😅 we’re accountants and we always keep track of our own expenses so when the bill comes we pay for what we ourselves ordered and everyone is really stingy when it comes to keeping track of costs 🤣
