It looks like Apple has fixed this issue.
According to 9to5Mac the company responded.
The company knows about the few recent cases of these phishing attacks and Apple has taken action to solve the problem
Would we need to update our system?
Hopefully it’s on their end so it gets stopped immediately. There’s been so many weird messages that I slide to report to Apple but wonder if that does any good.
Some people will still fall for it 😢
@@leslie594 Yes it does, imo. If we don't alert Apple they will never realize the extent of a phishing attack.
My mum is on iOS 17.4.1 on an iPhone 11 Pro and is still getting this problem on April 1st 2024 (it’s not an April fools mind lol)
I just clicked on each prompt and deleted. No calls received as my block list is bigger than my contact list.
Thank you Arron much appreciated 😎
Nice bro!!! Thanks for update… greetings from Colombia 🇨🇴
Thanks for being on top of this Aaron. Very crucial information here.
Thank you. I’ve alerted everyone I know who uses an iPhone
Thanks for sharing: great information. Blessings on your day.
Thanks for letting us know Aaron. BTW your wallpapers are great
Thanks for your full explanation 🙏
Nice video like always👍
Also never answer unknown numbers you don’t know. If it’s legit and a real person then they will leave a voicemail. Scammers and fakes 99% of the time never leave voicemails. They normally just keep calling back to back using the same method in this video until you give in and answer.
no one leaves voicemails in Portugal since 10 years ago. Absolutely no one. Plus, there are MANY situations were not answering a no known phone can have terrible consequences. Alarm companies uses different numbers each time they call you, when the alarm goes off. Job interviewers call you from numbers you don´t know, and might not leave a messages if you don't answer.
Thank you for this critical information.
Thank you so very much for your content I really appreciate it Aaron ❤😊
Surprised this has not hit main news by now. As always thank you for sharing important information in a professional video :) I'll be sure to share the video online.
Thanks for the heads up, Aron.
Thank you Aaron, I haven’t experienced a serious scam on my iPhone 15 pro so far. My phone ☎️ is secure and clean. But thanks for making us aware of it anyway!
Excellent info - I enabled recovery key, thank you Aaron!
Thank you Aron 🙏🏽
Thanks for sharing, Aaron 😊
Hi Aaron I absolutely love your weekly updates . Yes I’ve had many password warnings to reset them , banks , Facebook and more . I don’t changes because my passwords for banking is massive sure 👍 so I’ve so glad to you Aaron for help . Keep up the great work 👍
Nice video. Thanks for the warning.
If a person continues to dismiss the alerts, will it continue until you respond to it?
Thanks Aaron, that was very helpful and well explained! A pity that Apple couldn’t manage to do the same so far… 😊
A large amount of those reset password notifications happened to me late last night, took scrolling though many to click on don’t allow. This was the most intrusive I’ve ever seen!
Exactly what i do notice and it’s so sad it’s happening hopefully it will be fixed soon as possible.
thank a lot for your information
You can do this options:
1. Settings > apple id > communication preferences > from there turn off announcements and app, music, tv etc to prevent apple spams
2. Settings > safari > advance > from there turn of privacy preserving ad mesurement to prevent ad tracking.
3. Settings > privacy and security > apple advertising > from there turn off personalized ads to limit apple ads.
It works 100% to me without any issues
I've turn them off too.. gracias 😊
You’d think everyone is already doing this lol thanks reminding people 👍🏻
That will not work as it is a password reset issue. However, it has since been resolved on Apple's server side.
@@zollotech true!! but as for the others like me it can mitigate showing any notification’s showing on apples error’s as you told..
Awesome! Thx. I already had all those turned off. Nice find 👍
Thanks for this.
Got The Notification. Thank You Aaron!😎👊🏾
I took a screenshot of my recovery key and put it on my Google Drive right now. I plan to download it later. Thanks for your videos. Especially the one about going into screen time (or whatever) and disabling those two features. I’m Andrew. As an aside … I currently have iOS 17.4.1.
Aaron you can only enable stolen device protection if you have face ID set up.
This happened to me last week. Said my gmail and other passwords are in risk. I went in to check and I thought it must be genuine and I should change the passwords. I was a bit low and lazy at that time that I thought I’d do this later and forgot about it. Thank god it all worked out well
Thank you for this information!
Thank you for the important information
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for the information
I will protect myself from incoming attacks because of this video. Thanks Aaron!
Thanks bro!
oh boy! That's a big issue!
Thank you Aaron…much appreciated!
Thanks Aaron in a past video you talked us through setting up screen time password to protect our accounts - should we now start using the new Stolen Device protection
This went over my head.
How does it get on our iPhones to begin with
Dunno , I was thinking it came through as a message ?
Thank you Aaron. Please add a number for a beekeeper in the video description too.
@aron can we charge iphone or apple products when running with inverter battery ? does it harm any battery in apple products?
🤗SUPER THANKFUL AARON 💚💚💚
Hi Aaron, thanks for this information. Do physical security keys help to protect from this type of attacks?
Yes, because when you set your security keys, no more Apple code is used as 2FA. I use yubikeys in my Apple ID. But you need at least 2 of them.
@@MarcosRobertoDosSantosJF Thank you!
I had encountered something like this on my Mac some time ago, and I can't remember how I fixed it, but I googled the problem and someone had the answer. I knew that it was a scammer.
Thank you
I got different type of prompt which was odd. I got a prompt that was a similar alert saying that you device is being used for FaceTime and iMessage.
My iPhone 15 plus having problem while charging it make screen uneasy to touch or hold on screen while you wanna view the notification without opening it #help or explain why
Hi there, very useful. How do I download the wallpaper please? I couldn’t find the link?
Thank you!
@zollotech , I’m on latest iOS , there is no Face ID and passcode option .
So what now ?😅
Many thanks. You are a true hero!
Yes he saved all our lives lol
Thank you !!!!
Thanks!
Anther way you cam midgate it is by enabling the Spam spoofing on your iPhone as well as using a business class email service that blocks data leaks of email addresses such as office 365 with the delete me service off dark web as well
What if there will be an iOS 17.4.1 rapid security response a
Hi Arron who are they going after and should I be worried.
@@allenstevenson5986well they know it’s not worth it going after broke android users.
Same thing happened with my apple iphone. The way I solved the problem was turned the phone off took my sim out of it and put the phone in a drawer and bought a samsung phone put my sim in it and no more problems.
So much for impenetrable privacy.
I have both enabled, and it still happening to me. I can’t recovery key and the stolen phone feature where it waits an hour.
Ok I know I’m seeing this later but I just got this pop up a few minutes ago. Luckily I knew the scam was out there so I didn’t fall for it. I can’t just change numbers because of work so what way helps get rid of this?
It just works 😎
I’m surprised there isn’t a couple minute delay between requests
This is a super serious issue , the scammers only have to succeed one time to clean you out !
This really something Apple needs to fix.
I being using my phone with out no case for more then 1 months now
I had this issue and when the scammers called I told them I’m an Android user and I no longer use my iCloud account for over 3yrs and they stop
does this come from the new update that opens the phone to 3rd party stuff? .. if so iam glad still being on 17.3.1
This has happened to me twice in the last week.
Just had this yesterday
It might be a good idea to try explaining how something like this could happen.
I did in the video, but Apple patched it already thankfully.
My iPad flashed up a whole load of warnings about my passwords being part of a data breach and that I should change them all. Is that a scam? I have not done anything about it as yet.
2 days ago I got a prompt that my passwords got compromised so I changed it and idk if it was a scam or genuine
Great awareness!! Stay safe y’all!! 💪🏻👏🏻
Thanks Aaron.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4
KJV Bible
[1] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
[2] By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
[3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
[4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Ephesians 2:8-9
KJV Bible
[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
[9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Romans 10:9-13
KJV Bible
[9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
[10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
[11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
[12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
[13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
John 3:16

John 14:6

Thanks
Thank you!
No I’ve had no issues so far whosoever tries me to give information over the phone I don’t give it I am using an app to identify fraudulent phone callers not in my contact list, and I send to spam any unknown email that I have not allowed in my email! Any further suggestions from you Aaron will be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your security video! Excellent!
What happens while the phishing prompts are attacking your iPhone and you do a HARD SHUT DOWN.and then reboot the iPhome?
I had this happen today.but did nothing. But I did hard reset my phone to get rid of it and that was it gone
I didn’t get those exact warnings. My warnings stated something like my passwords were found on the net in hacked areas for various sites like Google and some bank apps I don’t use . I just ignored them. Found it odd that I’d get a bunch of them. Anyone else get a similar message and not the ones shown in this video? Hopefully Apple will address it and solve it.
I hope that this don’t happen to me n I feel bad that it’s happening to anyone 😢❤
I’ve seen it. I just deleted everytime.
Do you click show less or X?
@@nostalgiaman6816 I hit the delete in my email.
Limit the password change requests to 1 per day, they way you will need to call iPhone to get access to account, also register the up address request came from. Apple then could compare to your actual up address and bar white or black list specific up adress form using the password reset page.
I would just turn off my internet.
Pfp checks out.
sigma solutions
I don't think that will work
Can’t believe Apple is slacking off on this. Thanks Tim Cook!
@@Technow334 you can't get reset password push without internet)
Many people might think “who the hell would fall for this?”
Trust me, you’d be surprised.
wwwoow thank you 17.4.1 Apple! thank you for so nice wallpapers and other crap, what about security and battery
I’ve received several text messages from an unknown number I simply reported them as spam, blocking and deleting the number.
Haven’t heard of this in Europe. Scammers might be targeting mostly US users
Interesting if true. Does the EU use a different method or something?
It maybe politically driven in nature than given our upcoming election this nov if we are really getting targeted specifically.
I'm in Poland and I only got a couple of these prompts on monday 25th, thought it's a bug and just restarted all my devices and never got a call.
Unfortunately most US residents are easy to trick that’s why scammers target them more.
I germany here, happened to me 4 hours ago
@@angelcmr2048 the EU is full of scams though lol. If there is money to be made, there will be scammers to take it, doesn’t matter what consumer protection you got.
Talking to a few of my friends who live over in different bits of Europe. they seem to corroborate what the other comments are saying it’s definitely not a US only thing, but it appears that we are definitely getting hit a lot harder over here by this for some reason.
I had a pop up saying my password had been compromised and asked me to put in my phone password 6 numbers but I ignored it and not heard anything since and this was a couple of days ago.
Mandy 🇬🇧
go to your settings and then passwords and security suggestions. If it is there it is real, otherwise ignore it.
@@zollotech thanks ever so much I went to settings and password and I was shocked to see that I had 69 compromised sites so I changed my passwords on them all and deleted some of them I don’t use
Your advice was very helpful and I am very grateful
Mandy 🇬🇧
Why would it say allow instead of reset password?..
Is this a world wide issue yet or so new, it’s not known?
Use security keys to lockdown your iCloud account.
That stolen device protection seems to be a great way to further protect ourselves.
That said, I’ll not run out panicking, screaming of fear because there’s nothing to fish for using security keys and if YOU don’t give away any information.
I faced it in 2021 April
but there’s a bug on ios 17.4.1 second build
1. Sometimes my phone get stuck or non-response
2. The clock widget on lockscreen get cover or tampered
3. Battery getting drain so fast
So I’m going back to first build iOS 17.4.1
Apple should have a waiting time period before they send another authentication notification to the user... lets say one notification every 10 min, this way is more manageable to solve the problem by changing personal information
yup, annoy the heck out of scammers by slowing down their attacks.
It would help if you shared the screen for us to see the messages, instead of holding and shaking the phone in your hands ....🙄
Damm I miss the days I had a flip phone 😢
Crazy i got one of these and I knew it is some scam type of sht because why would apple send me this now after years lol
I always ignore these kind of messages.
iOS 17.4.1 security ok iOS 17.5 Beta 3
Good thing I don’t use two factor
Thank You 🙏🏽
