Basic strategy: Mirror images on pull to tank the boss, mass barrier to shield my elemental + images as they will tank for a long time. Use alter time then move from that spot when face tanking him (don't want to alter into mechanics).
Always save ice barrier to remove spittle. If you mess up, pop ice block on spittle. Only ever kick the heal (focus target + focus interrupt makes this very easy while burning the egg). Save ray of frost for the egg to get it most of the way.
Try to conserve blinks, very easy to blink a conal ability, then blink out of the fear circle, and have no blinks left to move out of the next conal and you die. To combat this, always run out of the fear, and play close to the boss so you can side step conals. Save blinks / shimmers for emergencies or while fighting the egg to maintain dps.

How are you dealing with the poison/slow?

You clear it with your barrier while talented into Energized Barrier. Because it has a slow component, that removes it. Only ever interrupt the heal. The fight was hotfixed this week to make it easier depending on your specialization, the spittle and heal timers can be different than what you see in this video. It's designed to be manageable by each spec, but blizzard could certainly have screwed that up.
