I regret not making a travel blog when I visited Havelock island Symphony resort way back in 2016 and styed there for 11 lovely days. I am not going to repeat the same mistake again!!! Fingers crossed !!! I would like to give a heads up though. The beach behind the resort is bit dangerous early in the morning say 6 because when I was jogging along the private beach, I was attacked by stray dogs who are very docile around people but if they find you on the beach alone early in the morning, they turn very ferocious and their killer instinct kick in. I had the experience of vicious jaws wanting to tear me to pieces. And I am the guy who love dogs to the core and have rescued many of them from the streets and provided them with medical care. And my love for animals and wild life will never diminish even with this experience. If 3 dogs can make your skin crawl, imagine a wild tiger attacking you. Though I would love to kiss a wild tiger and make friends with. There is a secret place on Havelock beach where you can find all the alcohol you need and at 1/5th of the price. A 750 ml Kingfisher beer for 30 Rs. Thats what I am talking about. Also if you go little further into the water from the beach, you can find all sorts of marine wildlife like baby octopus, lion fish / stone fish, even baby sharks. The water is knee deep and if you are barefoot, you got to be careful. I almost stepped on a stonefish as it is so well camouflaged against the dead corals lying around. Yes I am not the kind who will just sit in the resort fooling around with my woman which I do a lot though. But I try to do lot more than just that. And I did have the romantic evening dinner on the beach and I made it like a picnic for my girlfriend. Collected all the best food from the Island what she liked. Got the best beverage at 1/5th the price and sang old Hindi songs which my ex from Ukraine loved. Even the Indian couple who were celebrating their honeymoon sitting 200 meters away in their fancy canopy with bonfire and bought an expensive bonfire package from Symphony joined us. They complimented us that we were having more fun compared to them even though they were on their honeymoon. I made sure we all had good fun and made their honeymoon little bit more memorable!!!!! Seeing us enjoy so much, the bar at Symphony provided us complimentary drinks as they loved my songs. So I think a big thanks to Symphony beach resort for all their fantastic hospitality is in order!!!!!!!!!
