i lost my best friend to a motorcycle accident and i havent talked to him for a while because of life and us living in different countries. i never thought i'd lose him like this and i wish i had just a bit more time to explain how good he was in my life and in general. this song explains exactly what he would say if he could talk to me right now, and he had a fiancé that he wanted to marry. this song just gives me the choked up feeling from start to finish but i want to sing along to it for a very long time.
I also lost my best friend the same as you....that night i talk to her on the phone in short time..and the next day she got into accident while she riding motorcycle .....that was last time i talk to her...she was my only friend and this song hit me so much .....

I was on a 10 hour road trip to visit and tell all of my college buddies, that were graduating and going their own way, "goodbye". Nine and a half hours into the trip and my best friend from high school called to tell me that our other friend had passed away. The last time I visited her, I had told her that I was going to visit her again even as the cancer mass continued to grow in her spine causing her agonizing pain. I didn't fulfill that promise. Once the phone call ended and my sobbing subsided, I decided I wasn't going to spoil my college friends' big day so I put on a fake smile and sucked it up. I still hate myself for all of it.
This song is perfect. Life isn't made up of a few events. Once people are gone, they are gone. We shouldn't take life for granted. Spend time with your friends and family while you get the chance because one day you won't get another chance. I was amazed at how many of my classmates showed up at my friend's funeral. She didn't need anyone there at that moment in time and she could have cared less. She needed them when she found out she had cancer 2 years prior. Weddings and funerals are both a piss poor excuse to get together.
There can be no life without death. And while you might think funerals are piss poor, they serve a purpose. Not many animals hold funerals, it's mostly a human thing. You failed in your promise, but you did saw her in the end. Death is easy on the ones that die, it's the ones left behind that have to deal with it. So while we are stuck in what we call "life", funerals are there to remind us about what should be important to us personally. For me, dying alone is what I made peace with, as that's just what happens with my personality type. Others might not find it acceptable. A funeral is a great opportunity to find out what's important to you, as the end of life is a big wake up.

I had a friend pass away 8 years ago and i can't help but comeback to this song when i think of her. I miss her so much even though it's been so long since her passing. It still feels like yesterday when she was hanging out with me as we talked about boys and coming up with her wedding plans and baby names...i miss get so much

I really love this song, even when it was first uploaded, but it has come to mean so much more. Roughly 2 months after it was uploaded I had a car accident that could have easily killed me but I got lucky and walked away unscathed. That gave me the perspective of a person who passed and who would have left the lyrical feelings to those I cared about. Earlier this year I lost a grandparent and still miss the little things of not seeing him. And finally a few weeks ago an acquaintance of mine was murdered we weren't close but I always thought I'd run into him again.

Phenomenal, as someone plagued by doubt and missing out because of it on occasion this really spoke to me. Really reminds me of the last time I spoke to a friend hours before he passed and then found out later that week what happened and was broken and wondered what I could've said or done differently to have changed it or at least had a little more meaning to our last conversation.

I honestly can thank you enough for uploading this. The timing was just great. I recently had an event that changed my life for the better, I used to be a low life who stayed in bed and played video games all day (I still play games just not as often) and had no social life, but this song has helped me realize that I need to get my life together. I have been trying to rebuild broken friendships and make new ones along the way, it’s been going well so far but this song has helped me realize I need to go farther. Ehy bro, I've lost people close to me too and I feel you. I'm a genuine believer of an afterlife due to my great grandmother. She lost her heartbeat for the matter of 2 minutes and was luckily recovered, but died a while later. She told me she seen the afterlife. So now I believe. You will see your friend again😊
