This game keeps suprising me with the support it still has, I'm installing the B.A.T mod pack right now. I'm excited. Such great value this game is compared to everything else on the market. If you don't care about fancy graphics that much this is the absolute GOAT.
Exquisitely accurate depiction of the Essex-class carrier right down to the radar antenna array atop the island. These great warships, many of which fought in the Pacific during the final year of WWII, gave exemplary combat service in the Gulf of Tonkin on Yankee Station during the Vietnam War. One such vessel, USS Ticonderoga (CVA-14), was my squadron's home during my time from 1966-1968.
the graphics and the sound effect and the flight model of the plane and the missiles even the mig-15's absoulute stunning my god it's so damn beauty even it feels more exciting than WT the only thing that war thunder doesn't have is all of the historic WWII missions and cold war ones
War thunder isn't single player too you know, and this game has ALMOST EVERY plane from WW2 to Cold war if you install the B.A.T mod (which is 50gb), just amazing!

After opening my eyes to what people can do modding wise I looked around for mods in other games that make me fly stuff and arma 3 has an unbelievable AH-64D mod, man I wish I knew about that one earlier too. I pre-orderd the apache in DCS but the wait is killing me (to release) so this together with B.A.T. is going to be hella nice to "waist" time in.
What camera mod was used for this? What process do you go through when filming? I assume you've recorded a track in IL-2 and then run through it a few times for different angles? I'm wanting to do something like this in the future and would be keen to know what steps you took
Hey Raphael thank you for reaching out! The process is very simple: Find a song that you think will fit your idea (mood, atmosphere, etc) When you have found it, go on IL-2 create the map, choose the weather, cloud height, change time of day to give it the ambiance you need. Then record dogfights/carrier landings, anything you want multiple times, at different angles to have more diversity in each of your shots. Once you're done filming and all the video recording is done, organise your video files into folders to keep order in your work flow. Example: Folder 1: 1. Intro - Take Off (you put all the take off shots in that folder) That way it's easier to see things clearly when you're working. Once in the video editing program of choice I usually drop the song in first, then apply the first shots and try find a way to start the video. Once you're started you just mix and match clips according to the direction your story/video is taking. As your video reaches a full structure and it "flows" you can then apply a colorgrade. I use something called "Filmconvert" It's a great plugin that gives you real film colorgrades that are used in cinema. Also I should point out that you might encounter some copyright problems when putting songs into a video like this. So a thing I do is upload a video with nothing (black video) with the song on it. Upload it to UA-cam, see if it gets blocked. If it does, you have to find another song.

@@crazylegoarmy With B.A.T you really need to stick the proceedure. One mistake and you start all over again. And about Y-Pack, I don't know what it is, and I wouldn't try mixing it with B.A.T
The whole game was some version of B.A.T from www.sas1946.com I added 1 or 2 effects on top of that. Gurner FX for explosions and smokes. Maybe another one for the clouds, HD clouds or bigger clouds. Cheers !
Ah man, DCS has the A-4 now too with the super cool mod that's there but you have to pay so much for assets and maps. They don't even have a pacific or vietnam map.

The homage to the SAM City / 'Downtown' sequence from 'Flight of the Intruder' at the 6 minute mark was a nice touch 👍
