- One lesser-known step in the journey toward today's modern machine guns is that of Joseph Montigny and his Montigny Mitrailleuse. These multibarrel creations arms sought to up battlefield firepower, but militaries were uncertain of how to best implement them.
Multiple variations, sizes, and firing mechanisms exist, making these unusual guns endlessly fascinating for those who study firearms engineering or the evolution in repeating arms.

Holy cow! I really hope whoever buys this allows Ian to take it to a range :)
It's French. I hope he wins the auction. ;)
Same I would love Ian to check. I got to see the seven shot Pieper rifle. This is no less amazing.
Ah yesss... a Classic mincemeater...
in Spanish French and Italian and Portuguese the word for machinegun are very similar. So in French Mitrailleuse (mi tra u sah) is machinegun.
Yeah, they are all Latin based derivatives
Man! 37 Hive rounds coming at you.....
Does it shoot Kevlar dear ?
The police in Portland could do with a few of these...
🤣🤣😂😂
so where gunpowder go ?
The bullets hold the gunpowder, this uses cartridges.
A lot of rust on this, hope it gets some attention.
The internals are surprisingly smooth.
I might say the Gatling gun was a lot better weapon than this thing.
You would be correct. The Gatling had a defined role to fill, the Mitrailleuse's was not as clear. Though the later sequentially-firing versions I can see being comparable to a Gatling in an anti-personnel role.
turn the damn back ground music off while your speaking, it is rude and unprofessional ,
Chill your bits Karen...
no need to yell over it there dude lol - A simple stop would suffice
I actually really enjoyed the music
Seems kinda dumb
Esau. The blessing of the sword.
Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood, and stablisheth a city by iniquity!
“For Esau is the end of the world, and Jacob is the beginning of it that followeth.”
