I know this is an old video. I plan on buying these. After the time you had them or still have them, would you still suggest theyre good coils for the price?
Coming from someone who just daily drives their car and didn’t build a race car and my car doesn’t get tracked or run auto cross or anything like that. My car is used to ride around go from point a to b and occasionally going to car shows to look at cars that are actually exceptionally better ran mine I can say that for a budget or someone who can’t spend thousands on better coils, racelands are not “that” horrible. They ride a good bit better than some others I’ve seen and way better than the cheap coil overs you can get off eBay/amazon etc. in fact my buddies ep3 civic si had skunk2 suspension and they sucked so he bought and installed the raceland ultimos (primos weren’t around yet) and his ride quality was so much better and smooth that I actually bought some for my car and I can say we both enjoyed ours and I still love mine. Now I want the primos for the damper adjustment but if your on a budget these are about the best you can get.
It's good that you like them. The problem that arises from "cheaper" coilovers, is the longevity of them. They will go bad and need to be replaced faster than more expensive coilovers. They cut costs by using less expensive materials/production. Hopefully yours last as long as you keep the car, or want to upgrade.
Good thing they have a lifetime warranty. They actually stand behind there product & not only replace them for defects but will even rebuild then for you when they wear out over time
Danny try softening the front dampening and keeping the rear dampening stiffer. For example. 5 clicks in the front and 8 in the back. For the noises you're going to hear it more as its a metal top hat. Next set check out the ST Coilovers with some nice OEM style top hats. ST is the sister company of KW Coilovers.
The stiffness is just from it being so low. If you left them at stock ride height they would ride much better and quieter. It's just how a spring works, it has to get stiffer the lower you go to keep from bottoming out.
If Racelands blow as much as people say they do the company would be out of business, They offer a lifetime warranty! I said screw it and ordered a set of primos for my 08 speed . \_(ツ)_/¯.
Man I feel ya on the flaps scraping all over bumps and driveways. I cringe when scraping my Rallyarmor flaps coming out of my apt complex and going over bumps. Lowlife problems lol.
+Danny Courtney well anytime you decide to come out here I'll buy you lunch or whatever out here in Huntington Beach I got some hook ups at some nice bars
I agree with some of what you said, but you need to drive a car with a good coiler set up such as Ohlins, KW, Fortune Auto etc. first, and then go back to driving a car with Raceland's. Guarantee you will think "damn, Racealnds ARE crap". Yes they are good for going low on a budget, and if you plan on just creeping over speed bumps and not doing canyon runs or spirited driving or any type of driving where coilover performance is required then they ill be perfect, but they won't do much else. Lets be real.
But you bottomed out the coils, and I doubt you tightened down the strut piston nut to spec, on either front or rear. If you do all things to OEM spec, the ride is very nice.
Dude you can make them stiff or soft 15 way is cool I'd have it in the middle for the back and the front like a 8 cause you don't want them to soft ..... I had 32 way and the first day went to the beach like a 100 miles and remember my girl bouncing around cause I had it on the stiffest setting lol
I was thinking the same thing. My buddy's truck used to make a noise like danny was trying to make and he replaced the wheel bearings and the noise was gone
that WUBWUBWUBWUB noise you hear when you get above a certain speed could be a busted wheel bearing. happened to my car, replacing the wheel hub & bearing assembly isn't too hard.
Nice Video, I Got the t230's for Celica 7th Gen, terrible coilovers, as far as the 30 day money back again pure rubbish, Raceland won't respond to allow me to claim a refund. On the car the coils were bouncy onthe back and noisey on the front. Extensive extra cost involved to fit them , lot of folk claiming better handling with the coilovers so have to ask the question if the coils are bouncing and You feel every bump how's it handle better ? at speed they are flimsy , weak and bounce. Don't know a single decent driver that wants any of those at any kind of speed.
I think that spinning noise you're hearing around 25mph could be from a bad alignment. I'd try going to go get an alignment and corner balancing your car
Hey Danny I was just wondering if it's really worth the money? Because I just got some but I'm hoping they are good because a lot of people say they are sh*t how are they holding up for you?
Did you ever get that clunk/pulsating noise sorted? Just installed them on my Impreza Sport and am getting that noise:/ EDIT: I think my lugs are loose cause I forgot to tighten them after dropping it from the lift. Lol.
Looking good Danny, it looks like parts for the speed3 are alot cheaper than I thought, makes me wish I've gotten the Mazdaspeed3 they were selling near me :/ Catback exhaust coming soon?
waiting a week to share your thoughts is not really a review. I would give it 1-2 years and see how they really hold up over time and give a real impression of the coils.
Love it man. I have racelands on my speed and I'm thinking I'll need to drop it a wee bit, sits a little higher than I'd like. Also, just launched an introduction video to my channel and my speed3! Check it out man, speed bros! :)
I dont understand the reason for reviewing stuff, when you give AF about handling, grip and everything whats about a good suspension. This suspension is low and crap. Thats a honest "review" and the true.
So one year is approaching. How are the coilovers holding up and how many miles have you put on them? I'm considering these for my car but I do want to make sure that $500 is going towards a decent product. Car looks good btw!
We need an update
Great video Danny! Just proves that you don't need the nicest part to get a great outcome!
I subbed to you a few days ago ur Subie looks mint
+Mike it's a Mazda...
He's talking about Dustin's car haha
+Pozzed who the heck is dustin
The guy's comment we're currently replying on

the extra noise is mainly from being lower to the ground
20k nice job Danny killing it dude
thanks buddy
I'm glad your enjoying your coilovers so far Danny!! Can't wait for the new parts to come in 😈
big stuff is coming!
Your fender liner gap is much tighter to your wheels. That would explain the "whomp whomp" sound your hearing in your cabin.
Good to see a fellow Speed 3 owner showing there car some love! Just got new wheels today, getting installed tomorrow!
thats sick dude wheels will look dope!
Congrats on 20k Danny!
thanks!

I have these coilovers on my 02 impreza and I don't feel any bumps and I'm slammed but I do have bigger tires been a good experience so far
The stiffness is just from it being so low. If you left them at stock ride height they would ride much better and quieter. It's just how a spring works, it has to get stiffer the lower you go to keep from bottoming out.
edit: I should have said ur intros to ur videos crack me up. the content is great!
thanks buddy
If Racelands blow as much as people say they do the company would be out of business, They offer a lifetime warranty! I said screw it and ordered a set of primos for my 08 speed . \_(ツ)_/¯.
Bryce Dessert how are they?
how are they mate
How are they?
how are they?
Thx
These are only what a couple weeks old at the max? The problem with raceland is that they dont last at all, and over time they start to ride shitty.
yeeeee :D
If found on a deal you can get the Megan Racing EZ Street II's for around $600.
go for it!
Tein is better than Megan
Make sure to get adjustable rear toe/camber arms and front top hats to adjust the toe and camber correctly
Man I feel ya on the flaps scraping all over bumps and driveways. I cringe when scraping my Rallyarmor flaps coming out of my apt complex and going over bumps. Lowlife problems lol.
I broke my stock muffler, ripped off my stock skid plate, scratched every inch of the bumpers and side skirts, and my midpipe looks like a warzone lol
+Wpythons holy crap that unfortunate... But on the other hand, NEW PARTS! (Throws a little celebration lol)
the sound your hearing is from alignment... I have racelands and I had that sound before I got an alignment
thanks dude. will forsure get that done soon!
Congrats on 20k
should have went with some Tein coil overs
That's what I have on my 350z:)
+Adam Mathews I have tein springs on my G37S coupe and am saving for KW or Stance coils :)
The Mazda speed 3 is looking bad ass....any chance of doing a meet up in Orange County CA?
probably closer to san diego but thats not a bad drive!
+Danny Courtney well anytime you decide to come out here I'll buy you lunch or whatever out here in Huntington Beach I got some hook ups at some nice bars
+Danny Courtney find me on Instagram andrew_suarez0630 we could link up if your ever in the OC
love the height of your car and that you're doing what works for you and what aligns with your goals :) 🖒
thanks!!!!!
Ride feels stiff? Just adjust the dampening...
Your speed3 is coming along nicely bro. Performance time!
yeah buddy!
You should do a video about the specs on your car, turbo size etc and tell us your future plan for us, like the big stuff you plan on doing
have a video on that check my video list
I agree with some of what you said, but you need to drive a car with a good coiler set up such as Ohlins, KW, Fortune Auto etc. first, and then go back to driving a car with Raceland's. Guarantee you will think "damn, Racealnds ARE crap".

KW, Stance, and BC are the best for my car, in that order
KZNEvoX KW is OEM trash. Bilstein is better.
im am pulling my ultimos off RIGHT NOW... terrible terrible terrible buy. I respect this review tho... very unbiased and honest.
danny do you watch haggard garage?
no i dont should i?
+Danny Courtney yes they make really good videos
+Danny Courtney NO! Don't watch faggard garage. Overrated. keep doing what your doing bro
+Mike yoo theres nothing wrong with checking out other peoples channel
that turbo spoolll..... not garbage !!!!!
How are they doing now?
But you bottomed out the coils, and I doubt you tightened down the strut piston nut to spec, on either front or rear. If you do all things to OEM spec, the ride is very nice.
+Steve Bettcher yup this is all false, didn't bottom out the coils either
Danny you should do your exhaust next
downpipe anyone!!!!>>>>????
Dude you can make them stiff or soft 15 way is cool I'd have it in the middle for the back and the front like a 8 cause you don't want them to soft ..... I had 32 way and the first day went to the beach like a 100 miles and remember my girl bouncing around cause I had it on the stiffest setting lol
Great vid Danny
thanks!
awesome price for Coilovers!
let's see how it holds up later on
thats the question!
Danny Courtney so how’d they hold up?
Yes, now that you’ve had them in for awhile, what do you think of them? Holding up well, noise, etc.
the noise sounds like it could be a bad wheel bearing
I was thinking the same thing. My buddy's truck used to make a noise like danny was trying to make and he replaced the wheel bearings and the noise was gone
i got the same coil overs for 310.00 on ebay. did not like them so i sold em now waiting to get better ones. too cheap and car rode weird
On what car?
Wpythons speed 3
that WUBWUBWUBWUB noise you hear when you get above a certain speed could be a busted wheel bearing. happened to my car, replacing the wheel hub & bearing assembly isn't too hard.
ill look into it it also is probably the lack of allignment
I feel like he should have waited before doing a proper review to see if they actually hold up.
Iv had mine for 3 years and there still strong
theres not saying i cant make another video in a year about the topic
Danny Courtney is it time yet?
Danny Courtney it's been a year
@@DannyCourtney1 update please
thanks for the review. I'm looking at these!
no problem

Danny you should look into getting new wheels and tires.
thanks sir
gotchu homie
Did you get it aligned yet? Otherwise there is your problem.
you are very right about that. need to do that thanks buddy
I hope you got an alignment.
I think that spinning noise you're hearing around 25mph could be from a bad alignment. I'd try going to go get an alignment and corner balancing your car
I think you are right I'll have to do that soon!
Hey Danny I was just wondering if it's really worth the money? Because I just got some but I'm hoping they are good because a lot of people say they are sh*t how are they holding up for you?
+Broke Ej6 I just bought another set for the Miata.......that shows you what I think. For the money they are incredible
Danny Courtney wow thanks man can't wait to try these
You should get a Polyurethane rear Motor Mount or the Cork Sport one
What is your Job ?
physical therapist tech
Did you ever get that clunk/pulsating noise sorted? Just installed them on my Impreza Sport and am getting that noise:/ EDIT: I think my lugs are loose cause I forgot to tighten them after dropping it from the lift. Lol.
Stewart Ross was it an alignment issue?
NOT garbage !!
lol
Why don't you get a Subaru wrx and switch it for your current car?
dont like the wrx's that much
We dropped my MS3 with these and now I am breaking axles like every few months. Anyone else lowered having this problem?
i think you have other problems when axles break.....

Team raceland 🤗 but I drive a FRS lol
waiting a week to share your thoughts is not really a review. I would give it 1-2 years and see how they really hold up over time and give a real impression of the coils.
+Scott Hanson not gonna lie they have held up just as good since day 1
If this was haggard garage you would be balling
True Af
Where do you work Danny?
at a PT place
Question: whats your job? and great video keep it up!
Love it man. I have racelands on my speed and I'm thinking I'll need to drop it a wee bit, sits a little higher than I'd like. Also, just launched an introduction video to my channel and my speed3! Check it out man, speed bros! :)
ill look into it i like the name of your channel!
Thanks man! Episode 2, replacing emblems is up now! Haha. Keep up the good work broski.
How come you didn't just get some eBay coil overs? I've got some "fake" race lands and they've lasted me for almost a year now.. They aren't bad man.
Bro 20K!
YEEEEEE
I dont understand the reason for reviewing stuff, when you give AF about handling, grip and everything whats about a good suspension. This suspension is low and crap. Thats a honest "review" and the true.
Why didnt you just spend the extra 300 for Ksports
Francisco lopez that extra 300$ can buy you wheel spacers
So one year is approaching. How are the coilovers holding up and how many miles have you put on them? I'm considering these for my car but I do want to make sure that $500 is going towards a decent product. Car looks good btw!
500$ and decent coilovers dont go together mate
GARBAGE!
Had Megan coils they were cool
rattling ♡
