I mean sure the fights ARE great and all, but if you consider that both the "dream" sequence and the fight are very long texts were Shirou is basically standing still... well I think the tempo, the music and the visuals are very well made. Especially the dream. In the VN there's like 4-5 whole text screen of Shirou saying "I can't move, the wind pressure is too high" or some shit. They made the whole scene fit into a 3min sequence without losing the essence of something that lasts for ~10 min if you read with the voice over. The added flashbacks of heracles showing the 12 works is actually a very nice addition as well. Even Berserker fight is very long in the VN because you get Shirou understanding that he has only 3s to react and fight back. there's like a tons of explanations as of why he can't use UBW, why he choses nine lives blade works and so on but in the movie the core essence is kept: He sees things in slow motion, pick a weapon that is beyond his limit and slay Berserker with it. Even the visual of Shirou's bleeding eye is not in the VN (except CG most things are seen through the eyes of Shirou) so Ufo had to find correct way to depict what is described in hundreds of words... within 2s of videos. See how it lasts for TEN MINUTES and in the movie it's like... 3? however they kept everything in there and when reading the text you do not feel like you've missed much from watching the anime.

HF3は今までの絶望一色とは違い、それでも活路を見出し暗闇を切り抜けようとする、そんな個々人の決意が描かれていた。
そしてそれは、HF1とHF2の永遠にも感じられるような絶望があったからこそ、大変輝かしく見えた。
