10 Watts produce twice the Volume of 1Watt. 100 Watts twice as loud as 10 Watts. 1000 Watts twice as loud as 100Watts. 10,000Watts double the volume in sound pressure level that 1000 Watts produces. 1, 10, 100, 1000, 10,000 etc. Logarithmic scale. But everyone gets this wrong even today-the critical factor is the power sensitivity more correctly the efficiency of the individual speakers NOT the power handling. i.e. how much sound pressure level a speaker produces at a fixed distance (1Metre) from the cone for a given power wattage input expressed in dB. Modern PA speakers produces 100dB SPL for 1 Watt at 1 Metre. Another speaker with an efficiency of 103dB/1W@1M is twice as loud for the same 1 Watt. Every 3dB added is a doubling of sound pressure level-i.e. perceived volume.
What a video, and just how it takes me all the way back to the good old days, love it.
Dave Fletcher. 😀
what an awesome place!!!
whaouuuu !!!
Absolutely wonderful stuff!
Thanks Greg
My brain: "incredible!"... "inventory?"... "insure?!"
