    Beautifully said! I come from the FGC where this mentality is common, get washed to be clean. However, it seems like people seem to disregard this in FN. What you said in the 2 and 3 hour sections is the first time I've ever heard anything like that said in FN. Somehow, i've never thought of practicing my awkward edits, an amazing idea! I'm surprised this wasn't common knowledge. To be honest, most people I see in discords or just in creative just run away from a challenge, never striving to improve themselves. And those who are better do their best to put those below them down. Anyways, this was beautifully structured, with impactful, well thought out routines to help even the busiest of players (like me 😅) to improve.

    what I did to improve on kbm pc for a week was play 1 hour of aim training, so 30 mins of kovaaks and 30mins of 1v1 my friend in aim duels but he has aim assist off so I get more practice (and so does he technically) then raiders map for about 30 mins, realistics for 15 and real games/arena for an hour or 2. then vod review your own or pro gameplay and take note of everything they do and why they do it, and if you can't think for the reason on the spot cause you don't have the same level of experience as they do you can make up scenarios on why they did it in the first place and try to replicate it and if it fails, through some trial and error you'll pick up on if you were right or what to do different.
    EDIT: (forgot to mention that in 1 week I was already 2x better, my decision making, my aim, my building/editing and crosshair placements)

    Thank you so much for all the time you put into your videos. Ive been playing fornite for a year now and decided i would love to transition into competitive, not for the money, but for the love of the game. My biggest question to you is that i play on a custom controller with paddles and scroll wheel, plugged into a brand new PC. Would you suggest that i start to transition over to keyboard and mouse . If so, how long would it take to accomplish before i became proficient enough to get on the grind again, considering i have about 7 to 8 hours a day to practice? I would Love your honest opinion. P.s. you have one of, if not the best voice to listen to for fortnite videos by far. If you were a coach, you would be my number 1 picik. Again i thank you so much for this video along with all of your other ones. ~Ryan~

    • @marrentm
      @marrentm  7 місяців тому +2

      Hey, Ryan - thank you so much for the kind comment. For you to become properly good I would estimate it would take 9 months of insanely hard work. For you to be comfortable, however, it would only take a few months.
      Becoming good and learning the actual mechanics behind succeeding in competitive games from the start is really hard, especially if you don't have anyone already good to guide you (in a friend group, for example)
      Controller players are undeniably at a disadvantage currently, and you need to be exceptionally gifted if you wanna make it to the top on a controller (like Mero, who is one of a kind)
      If I were you I would make the switch to keyboard and mouse today, and never look back.
      Hope this helps! And best of luck in your journey. Hope to see you at the top :)

Im asking because im waiting for my new pc, i can just only grind, i cant play normal game because of fps drops.

    Best warmup for my builds and edits are freebuilding on a map that has a fast mode where u move faster bc after that i don’t miss any edits and it just feels so much slower playing on normal speed

    I reckon I can sustain 3 hours a day but I’ve just switched to claw after coming back for 2 years of leaving and I feel so shit at the game right now I was putting in 8 hours a day and not improving at all so I’m going to start trying this method thank you for the guide! ❤❤

    • @Nisowyd
      @Nisowyd 6 місяців тому

      If you just switched to claw, as someone who’s been through that process, I recommend you focus on free building for a while. 30 minutes to an hour every day, and then focus on build fights for the rest of the time you’re on. The main thing you need to focus on when switching to claw is building that muscle memory rather than trying to min-max your practice.

      @Hapylaww 6 місяців тому

      @@Nisowyd oh alright thanks for the tips I’ve gotten the muscle memory down pretty well but it’s more my mechanics that suck my editing and freebuilding are awful and my aim is dogshit so I wanna work on those things at the moment 😊

      @@Nisowydhey man I know this is really late but how did you improve with editing I’m using touchpad edit 2.0 edit and build speed 40% aim hori and verti but even thought I’ve improved claw has made placing cones in other boxes harder etc any tips?

      Edits from awkward positions. An example might be someone pushing you while your boxed up, and you edit through a wall you’re against. In edit maps you generally edit from decently far away, so you have plenty of space to edit. But since you’re in a box, or some other awkward position, then you have to make an awkward less optimal edit. Messing up a wall edit to escape your box while someone is pushing you can be frustrating.

    I've been getting random fortnite fps drops and I can't figure it out no matter how much I looked it up, I go from a constant 165 fps (my computer lock and max hz) to 60 randomly and it freezes for a couple seconds and messes me up so much during builds, aiming, editing. Do you know how to fix it by chance?
