The end of the show is so perfect because they end together because it's always been them together and they've been in love to each other throughout all the seasons. Love the show and the end so so much!!
ted and robin were perfect for each other. barney and robin was a great couple, but if they truly loved each other, barney wouldn’t have gotten mad because robin was accomplishing her dreams of being a journalist/reporter. ted supported her all the time. they even broke up because ted supported robins “where do you wanna be in 5 years plan” on where she wanted to move to Argentina. they make each other happy. it wouldnt be realistic if robin was the mother. but in the end, he still stole that french horn for her. ted did a lot of things for robin; he set up christmas lights to make her happy, he threw 3 parties for her, he stole a blue french horn for her, he looked for the locket, he helped robin and barney get engaged. i knew ted and robin was gonna be the ending. im really happy for them
This is so awesome!!. Yes, i've been screamed about this since, idk, FREAKING SEASON 3!! Remember the slutty pumpkin episode, where Robin ask Ted the very simple yet waking up her, I think that's really a wake up call for her that, in that last season in that episode, she understand how he feels about her through the FREAKING 7 SEASONS!.

So i just started watching this show and im addicted as F and now im on season 3 already. It hurts me alot that robin didnt want to be together with ted. Ted is one of the nicest human being. Its hard to find like this kind of guy. I think robin is just selfish. I know that love cant be forced or something but cmon... please appreciate someone that wants you. U never know when they will be gone forever
This is my take on this couple. I'm sure Robin loved Ted. It's hard to define her love as a normal love but it did exist, just very subtle. But Robin stepped back since she realized her future and his future couldn't cross. He dreamt of a family with beautiful kids and a dear wife, which she couldn't give him. So her only option was saying no. It didn't mean that Ted wasn't the one in her heart. They only finally accepted each other when they were two broken pieces, waiting to be healed.

He idolised her, that's why he thought she was perfect for him. And later on, he had been with the same woman for ten years. He got children, he got home and he didn't change his mind about Robin? His children were still with him and they were a huge part of his life. 50s is not an old age, so what, now Robin suddenly didn't want to travel anymore? If it goes like this, she should've actually got back together with Barney. They had way more chemistry than Ted and Robin. I'm not salty, but I didn't like the ending. Maybe it was beautiful for the creators, but I wasn't happy with it and they low-key gave me a reason to. They were building Barney-Robin relationship for 3 seasons and then made a whole season about their wedding preparation, when with all the moments of doubt they still made it. And Ted actually gave up on Robin in this season and met the mother. He moved on. After he met the mother who was a true soulmate for him im unable to believe he still felt something to Robin. Besides, love from the 1st sight hardly ever happens and it is not the case of it. Ted and Robin had literally nothing that would make them make sense. They didn't even have real love, unless it was one-sided. She was never there for him. They weren't able to make sacrifices for each other. Ted actually made Robin give away her dogs that she cherished the most but didn't give away his stuff. It was toxic. Unless u think confessing love to somebody on the first meeting is healthy.

Honestly, it's better to "give up" because thus you show respect to the other person. And you respect yourself and don't impose yourself on sb who clearly stated or showed that he/she has no desire to be with you. Ted and Robin had great romance at the beginning and great friendship in the middle. It's such a pity that authors overlooked the whole progress of these characters and showed that if you hope for ten years to be with sb, who constantly rejects you as a romantic partner, in the end you will be with this person, because you "deserve" it and didn't "give up".
You just didn t get the show then, ted in the end moved on when he met tracy he even married her and had kids, but after she died, he started thinking about robin which is normal, he have the right to move on, and besides he and robin broke up cause they wantef different things in life, but once they achieved what they wanted there wasn t any reason for them not to be together, plus they both loved each other all along :)
