Autumn is my favourite time of the year. Nevertheless, I need to hike and photograph every weekend of the whole year, even at dull days at the end of winter. There is mostly something, and if I cannot find anything, I enjoy the pleasure to be outdoors, to observe nature, and to develop new ideas.
Ian, I was wondering if Henry shares his food with you when you take breaks? In his videos, he usually stops to cook a gourmet meal. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 I like spring because of the beautiful blooming flowers we have here in the Mojave Desert. Framing a flower with a red and tan sandstone hill behind it make for a great composition. Can’t wait for your next video.
I remember being in Northern England in April 1986. All we got was rain, snow, more rain, more wind etc. sometimes all in one day. Here in Oz, when it should be autumn, from 1 March, we’re getting what we should have had in January, our summer, but it was wet and lower temps. So what you get in your spring, well….could be anything! My fav season is autumn, when and if the trees change colour. Some already have no leaves! Nice video, Ian🇦🇺
Thanks Ian! I agree, is the point to go out and scout to not miss any photos? I liked you thoughts of future shots with the sprawling Oak through that wall!
I enjoyed the video as usual Ian. It was nice to see you and Henry out and about again. I bet you got soaked and it's appreciated that you took the time to make this video in that weather. Great image's as usual. Look forward to seeing your next one.
I have not attempted photography in that kind or rain, based on your results I will in the future to not miss those type of shots, thanks for the video.
Nice video in the rain. I sometimes find videos with other photographers a bit forced but this was good. Mind you Henry's enthusiasm is similar to yours.
Great for inspiration Ian, thank you, and thank Henry! I was wondering why you don't use your lenses' hoods? Especially in the rain, it might help keeping a lot of the rain drops out of the front element (unless it's raining horizontally ;-)! I understand that you have the ring for the magnetic attachment filters, but I would add the hood anyway (and yes, I know that lenses hoods can be cumbersome, but they do offer some added protection and help reduce glare). Just a thought anyway! Thank you for inspiring us to go out and shoot in rainy or less than perfect weather days! Great videos!
Removing the post was ok because you pointed it out. If you are transparent about it, it's an artistic choice. If you keep it a secret, it's deception. (I'm just saying in general as a point of order. 🙂 and of course just my opinion, but I think it has merit.) Cheers!
Sorry, mate! Half-way through the video and you haven't made any point at all relevant to the "Stop Missing Photos" title. Was it all about going out anyway, even if it's raining?
I was talking about how planning for the new season can help you find new locations that can help you be more productive with your photography. Yeah, it was a difficult video to title.
Two great outdoor photographers! Here we see how they often suffer for their art and for our enjoyment and instruction. Thanks guys! 👍😀
Thanks so much. 👍
My 2 favourites out for a shoot. My favourite season is Autumn, all the colours, fungi and atmosphere.
Two of my favorite (YT) photographers -- Excellent!
Thanks Len, much appreciated, it's always nice to get out with Henry. 👍
Two awesome photographers! Great video.
Thanks so much 👍👍

Well done. I love foggy, misty rain photography. Downpours not so much. Another great video tfs
Glad you enjoyed it 👍😊

He doesn't haha, Maybe next time 😂 I bet the Mojave is amazing 👍
Your patience was rewarded with the final tree photo - but that was certainly a soggy stroll for you & Henry!
It certainly was, but thoroughly enjoyable. 👍
Class mate. Thanks for a brilliant day out despite the rain!
It was awesome mate, looking forward to the next adventure. 👍
I love how you both complement each other and are not intimidated by what the other does ... True gentlemen 👏

Thanks buddy, that's interesting 👍👍
Great video !! I thought for a moment that Turner was going to step on the b-roll camera at 0:53, he lifted his foot just in time 🤣🤣
Thanks Ian! I agree, is the point to go out and scout to not miss any photos? I liked you thoughts of future shots with the sprawling Oak through that wall!
Yes, scouting and planing for the new season ahead 👍
